Look if I’m being honest all I really want is a Swinging Friar soda and maybe a metallic chase version. Though I’m sure you guys would also like a soda figure of your favorite sports mascots baseball, football or basketball. Maybe even some college teams.

That's something that maybe the teams could use for a special giveaway day to bring in more people.

Yeah, also less space taken up to store the product if they wanted to keep more around after one of the giveaway days.

Still waiting on an Iceburgh pop for the Pittsburgh Penguins. So I'd take the soda version please :-D But I guess it'd be much more likely to get the Pirate Parrot.

Sports and Funko are not relatable. Most die hard sports fans have barely any acknowledgment what Funko pops even are.

Exactly, sporting events want to get people in the door first and then sell their products merchandise or food/beverages. I can see it being a little easier for them with the webbly sodas since they are so involved on that one.

I'd like to see sodas that are dedicated to the voices of baseball. Bob Uecker, Vin Scully, Harry Caray, Mel Allen, Red Barber......you can do owners and managers as well.
You can also do the same for other sports.

I dont want to sound as Mr. Negative, but I know the pop lines didnt too well but if they do a Soda line I hope this one rocks! Personally I would love to see some NBA mascots, such as Benny the Bull in a flocked suit, or either a GS Warrior Thunder, or a OKC Thunder in metallic. Also as a huge 49er fan, I would definitely welcome a Sourdough Sam Soda in metallic form.

Did they not sell well? Most of the MLB mascot Pops are worth quite a bit so that would surprise me.

I personally hope they keep making NCAA Pops so I can finally get a Big Jay for the Kansas Jayhawks.

My apologies I probably should not have blanketed every sport as I am not sure about the MLB mascots, but I remember seeing them quite a few of the NBA mascots sitting on shelves even some at Funko Hollywood. I remember seeing Squatch and Raptor on the shelves. Personally I thought Squatch was an awesome mold.

I love when I come to the board and see Padres fans. I’ve been a fan since I was 9 years old and would absolutely love a swinging friar. I buy sodas because my kids and I love them, I don’t sweat if I get a chase or not. If they did the friar I would buy them h til I had both figures. I’d have to have both.

We have all of the Mascots that were released for Baseball and Hockey (still waiting for some that were never released) as well as some College (looking at you Joe Bruin) ... and we've even gifted many more to family and friends that were fans of particular teams.

It's so much fun to give them to my son's teachers that already display their fandom in their classrooms ... not to mention showing our fandoms in the office.

I WOULD LOVE to see mascots come out in a soda form! Can I be put on a 1 Case per Character pre-order subscription now?
I'm Greg. My son is "RSVHockeyDude". We collect Funko products together.
Pop! Count = 3133
Pop! Pez Count = 197
Funko Soda (My New Favorite): 762 different Sodas including Intl Versions
Other Funko Products (Hikari, Vynl, Wobblers, etc) = 87
Proto Count = 14 Pop (Mostly NHL; a little of Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars, Disney, The Simpsons); 4 Soda (NYCC Freddy)
