Sodas-What do you do with the extras when hunting for a chase?

I usually sell the extra commons for $3 or so - might as well get some of my money back and add to someone else's collection

I agree with others that simply buy 1 now and accept what they get. I used to try for both the common and chase, but I’m trying to downsize and limit my soda purchases to 1 per figure. But if I really want the chase, I’ll buy it on eBay for a decent price since buying multiples from retailers tend to cost more.

I set them aside and use them as gift stuffers for birthdays and holiday gifts. Works perfect.

What's a gift stuffer? Like something you add to fill empty space?

Like if you need something a bit extra for a gift (not the primary gift but something you use to "plus up" a gift)

I sell or trade them. But also give some away
to friends

Usually I’d give them away to younger cousins or something but lately I’ve been wanting to see if they sell on FB marketplace. Maybe recoup a few bucks that way ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m curious. I believe that if you buy a case of six sodas, you are going to get a chase. What do you all do with the 4 or so commons that you inevitably end up with? Is there a soda trading group somewhere?

Depending on the pop/box, I sell them off or trade them. Sometimes I keep them and use them as birthday or holiday gifts. Just depends.

My wife is a teacher. I donate the Pops to her school. When the kids do things above and beyond they earn "school bucks" they then use those to purchase Funko Pops (or other items) from the donated supply.

When sodas were newer there was a market for commons. I’d just buy cases and keep a chase and common for myself and then sell the extra commons. Now I give them away. It’s fun to make someone’s day.
