Sodas-What do you do with the extras when hunting for a chase?

I’m curious. I believe that if you buy a case of six sodas, you are going to get a chase. What do you all do with the 4 or so commons that you inevitably end up with? Is there a soda trading group somewhere?

I would do the same for extras, but I tend not to buy more than 2 . Either I get lucky with set or I don't. They end up part of my collection or as gifts.

Yea, same. I stopped buying 6 a long time ago. Most chases now are well below $30. I'd rather just spend that than deal with the headache of having so many commons .

I never buy more than 2 now and hope for the best. If I don’t get the chase I will put the extra in my office.

There is a FB group for Funko Soda and I have had a lot of success there both buying chases and trading.

I've never bought more than 2 at once. Extras get gifted usually. There's only been one where I was really disappointed at not getting the chase and it was the 3L Baymax. But there was also no way I was buying more than 1 of those at a time.

If I have an army of them (which I kind of do for Otto)— I take group photos of them.

Eventually some friends asks me if I want to give it to them. Most cases I do.

I try to sell to recoop some of my money. Usually ends with me giving steals. A lot of people mainly are after the chases and if they pull them need the common still. Most of the times the common is better but still the chase is the one sought after..

I like to give all extra as gifts or prizes when we have events at the house. Gingerbread house making competitions and other fun ideas.

I can only think of a few exceptions like the Superman Soda where the chase was Bizarro that made me really hope for a chase. Usually they’re slightly modified or the paint scheme is different and I find myself preferring the common of for no other reason than it’s the one that looks most like the character.

What got me to spend too much was The Crow.. I have an army of non-chases and it seems like it does not exist... or maybe the TNBC Black Light series, I have to get chases too, kind of did that for Alice in Wonderland as well, but thankfully I didn't break the piggy bank for that set.

To be honest. I know she immediately placed them
Inside of clear acrylic bins. Sadly a fair amount took a small toll. Plastic windows was slightly bent and corner of the boxes torn.

She never did out of the box.

I know she was trying to move to sell but I haven’t heard anything since — i volunteered to buy but she denied . It’s okay though.

I give them to my wife for her students prize box. They love them, so it does bug me and I don't feel like I am wasting.
