Sodas-What do you do with the extras when hunting for a chase?

I'm in the buy two and hope camp. So I have zero soda chases.

i rarely if ever hunt for the chase, if i get lucky great if not oh well but on the rare instances when i do try i just stash the extras and hope they'll gain value someday.

Yes they are so please keep them in mind if you have unwanted or unneeded pops that you want to rehome.

i try to sell them for cheaper through fb groups or locally to recoup some of the cost. some of the commons i give to my nephews because they love them or even donate them to toys for tots or childrens hospitals.

Ideally you would want to try to recoup some of your investment, but otherwise giving away to a children’s hospital ( if you have the hook up for that) or Toys for Tots , or family or friends is the alternatives.

I think at some of the FDO ‘s they let you bring to give and/or exchange with others and at San Diego and Valencia they we’re collecting for a toy drive for children’s hospital.

I usually take one of the extra to work and display it at my desk. Then usually give the others to my nieces and nephews. Or any friends that like the character.

I used to save them as trade bait. I've recently given up on buying multiples and just buy the chases I want at premium, if I can't find them. It's less of a hassle for me and it usually saves me from spending all that money on just having the chance for a chase.

I usually buy two and hope for the best. The extra one I’ll either give to one of my kids or friends at work. I try not to chase hunt but you know, sometimes you just have to have it. But I try not to pay premium on a soda…. well unless its Freddy Funko.

I do the same thing. I very rarely buy more than one to get the chase but when I do I stash it as well. With Funko you never know what will become valuable.

Sacrifice them to the Funko Gods. Or.. just keep them. I don't buy too many doubles to Chase hunt. If I want the chase enough, I'll just pay secondary market prices for the most part.

It's heartbreaking. My bf used to buy 6 but since they stopped including an automatic chase with the case he stopped, now we either buy 2 or 3 depending on the pop and our budget

OMG, are we the same person? So many Ottos, so many commons. I think Otto is now my #2 for most commons while striking out on a chase, right behind Winter Soldier. He'd have been tied with Freddy Mercury if it weren't for a friend in here who 'traded' me his chase, even before I had something to trade him!

I just try to look at my common armies as part of the journey, and part of the fun!

I've bought a few cases, but never directly from Funko. Luckily each of them included a chase, or I'd have been so upset! Instead, I get to be happy and gift the extras to my friends!
