New to soda

So I’m toying with the idea of collecting sodas. I know everyone’s taste is different so I thought I’d see what others have collected for sodas. What collections or type does everyone collect and why? For me I’ll probably start with anime :freddy3:

I collect anything Freddy Funko related and Star Wars. Sodas are super fun because of the the chases and Star Wars has had some of the best chases so far.

I spend a lot of my time seeing anime. It would be cool to see soda versions of some of the anime I collect to display next to my pops. Have a few dragon ball pops that could look cool with a side item.

I focus on Freddy Funko, Star Wars, and Hanna Barbera but I venture off on which Soda catches my eye. Who am I fooling, I have Sodas from all lines just like my Pop! collection.

I’m a little less selective with sodas because they’re much easier is store when not OOC(out of can). A big decider is how cool the chase version is.

I don’t stick with one franchise, it depends on the chase and design. They are also smaller than Funko pops, so it’s easier to display them.

I’m kinda into anything I like. Because the line is so new if there is a license I’m really into it’s not too hard to complete the set relative to some POP! licenses that may be harder (more expensive) to collect them all. Of course they are coming out with more and more all the time so just like POP!s try to be selective or you’ll run out of room to display them pretty quick.

I go with what I think looks cool and of course that always seems to be the chase.

I make sure to collect sodas where I like both the chase and the common. It’s nice getting a chase and all that but if that’s what you want and you don’t like the common you are setting yourself up for disappointment.

Sodas are the best way to chase a chase in my opinion. Becomes addictave so get ready.

I do mostly Anime but really I end up getting way too many sodas lol

We stick to the same lines we do with anything Funko usually.

I will say It's also easier to branch out into characters you think are cool or Pop lines you might be intimidated by since Soda are smaller/easier to display lol

Sodas are fun to collect, especially when they have the limited piece count. Easy to display and store without taking up so much room

I collect so many lines. I just collect what I know I'm gonna really want. So definitely have a top list of what you really really want since there are so many sodas now.

Yeah just grab characters you like. When I started I was collecting everything but the lines have grown so much making this very hard.

Now just collect what I like.

Yes I did try collecting whole lines but as you said between adding more characters, which I don’t mind, to adding, flocked, glow, blacklight, I had to give up.

I say buy what you like. What feels appropriate to your personal likings.

I .. my self .. has been enjoying the Star Wars line. Never got a Chase and that’s okay.

I also enjoy random marvel and Pixar — limited to anime such as cowboy bepop.

So. Yeah. It’s all over the place per se speaking lol

For me, I pretty much do the same thing I do with pops. I go for the lines that remind me of my childhood, like MOTU, Thundercats, TMNT, Starwars, Spiderman, robocop, predator, etc. from there I will cherry pick on what I think looks cool.

I was hesitant when they first came out. I wish I would have really dove in sooner. I’ve been trying to keep up with Freddy Funko but life had me and my wallet distracted so now I’m trying to catch up.
