Idea on a new type of soda!

Postby RedRoo » Tue May 23, 2023 11:46 am

Now we know soda's come with a fair bit of weight and that's cool and we seen some amazing ones over time.

But here's an idea, Why not Die cast sodas!

while the diecast pops are nice they are a bit to big for casual collecting but i think a Soda would make an awesome diecast type of figure.

Could you imagen a diecast Bobafett made from real metal and shiny as heck.

Interesting idea.

Same concept built like the die cast figures that exists already..?

But I don’t think my wallet would be able to handle the cost of it— If it occurs.

How about a soda of an actual soda with actual soda in it? I mean I've seen and tasted the bottle soda back in 2017.

Painted or unpainted? I guess similar chases to the die cast pops?
That would be cool! I always appreciated the decent weight to sodas. Die cast would feel that much more heftier lol

Give me an Iron Man and I'm in! :mir1: :mir1: :mir1:

Seriously though...with your vision, would it only be for sodas that are metallic? Or would it be like the die cast pops have been, and the figure doesn't matter, it's just die cast?

This idea was crazy good of Funko. But handling them was a challenge. Since it was actually glass. Actual soda was tasty. Totally agreed.

I do wonder if they bring this concept back, I do wonder how would they achieve it in terms of design. I mean. I was a huge fan of what they did. Very retro and fun.

It was brilliant collectible idea! Just scary to transport. I heard various stories too, that a lot of them broke when that pop up took place. So unfortunate.

But either way. I loved that Martian too.

I like it, sounds good! Definitely an interesting concept, would be really curious to see what the price point would be for this. Sodas have already gotten a bit pricey, and this would definitely be a further increase. Could be really cool though to see those metal sodas in a true metal!

Are those sodas expensive cause they are limited or are they the non numbered ones as well?

Ouch! Based on google's exchange rate, your starting sodas are almost $5 USD more than our starting prices. I could see that being a major hurdle to them doing well. I had no idea we were so spoiled here. What would you think the price for a die cast soda would be for you?

But here's an idea, Why not Die cast sodas!

while the diecast pops are nice they are a bit to big for casual collecting but i think a Soda would make an awesome diecast type of figure.

Could you imagen a diecast Bobafett made from real metal and shiny as heck.

I think you are on to something here RedRoo! I love this idea! the Diecast Bobafett soda would be awesome! Even if they do this for special treatment pieces that would be pretty awesome. However with the recent price increase on Exclusives, I would have to think that a Diecast Soda would be in the range of 50-60, which would make me hesitant to click buy.

Great idea, what about making the die cast sodas in the mini cans?

Was it good?

In my opinion it wasn’t bad but not great :-/
