Obviously we all probably saw that leaked lineup by now, but murmurs have been about that it could be a May 4th Star Wars NFT drop. Thoughts?

Star Wars would be huge and I could see that pulling in some additional folks that have "sworn" they'll never do NFT. I'd fully expect a large pack amount when Star Wars happens.. maybe close to the 30k of each type

Gosh I hope not! I'd be in favor of keeping the max total packs to 60-70k for some of the more popular drops. It gives most a fair shot and keeps with a bit of exclusivity.

I wouldn't say it'll always be LE 999. For the Iron Maiden set it was LE 666 so they could possibly change it up.

As seen with the pack burns from DC, HOD, etc., I feel they can't really go higher than 60-70k packs. At a certain point it's not worth the gamble and people are going to just try to buy what they want instead of gambling. And it's not a good look if every time they get a big name drop it doesn't sell out.

At a certain point it's not worth the gamble and people are going to just try to buy what they want instead of gambling. And it's not a good look if every time they get a big name drop it doesn't sell out.

HOD is a smaller line compared to DC. GoT was big but the line slows when the show ends. marvel will be huge but it depends if disney has a deal with funko to release nfts. i know they have a longtime connection with pops so we will see. star wars would be sick, maybe theyll go with sublines within the big star wars world

Just feels like it could be anything really at this point. Star Wars would be awesome, but I'm highly skeptical on that front. Same with Disney or Marvel. My guess is that Funko holds off on those licenses for NFTS if/until crypto has a rebound surge in mainstream popularity just to avoid the potential public / fan backlash from those fan groups. With the recent mondo and inventory news surrounding funko - I'd bet they stay in the niche line market for a few drops. But I'd love to be wrong.

Here's one idea - a Star Trek Series 2 line. Picard just ended and was well received. They could go down that path.
