It's not a lot when you collect certain one's I don't think you should be going for everything unless it's your personal choice. Plus going for everything is expensive there are grails that you will spend alot just to get it. Like I said you should just focus on what you want similar with commons and exclusive getting everything is too much

Don't get me wrong... I have never "Gotten all drops" just because.. I just think Funko is going through a lot of IP and a lot of pops with their "every two weeks".

When was the last time you saw a drop and was like "OH Man! A new character" or "Oooo that pose looks sick!" not too often anymore because they are going through them all so quickly

Perfect example... Batman 85th Anniversary NFT drops. Great concept to just show the suits Batman and his peeps wear, put on display.. Poor execution and they look like **** (in my opinion). Then they did it again with villains in Arkham.. and again.. not great execution..

All because they had deadlines to meet on their every other week release cadence.

I think now that Droppp has this down pretty well, that they will keep up the pace and assume not everyone will collect every theme.

I think these make business sense for Funko, and when it’s a line I am excited about it’s fun to hunt them down.

Unfortunately finding the right balance quick enough to execute is nearly impossible. So many fans wanting so many different lines to release make them pump out new drops frequently. At the same time, if they got back to the old days when it was slow released (while they werent sure if the NFTs would succeed), theres the possibility the interest dies off

I don't know if I agree with that. If they went back to once a month, or even met in the middle and did every 3 weeks...I don't think demand would die off. Unless, they continue to do the same 6 IPs in a constant rotation. I don't know what it takes for Droppp & Funko to make these profitable, but if each series only sells 50% is that enough? I like that the April Fools Series 3 sold out, but at the same time, the value of them is not great. IDK. I just want some more Power Ranger pops or DC/Green Lanterns!

Having followed Funko for literally more than 25 years, the thing that is missing in the NFT realm for Funko/Droppp is acquisition of new licenses. It could be that License holders may be skeptical of NFTs, or keeping their rights in-house, but there doesn't seem to be as much interest in joining the digital collectible world for some of the largest IPs that exist in the physical Pop! world. Certain properties would be super popular if licenses could be acquired, but obviously the licenses that are participating have been somewhat limited so far. Maybe some of these companies want way too much for the rights and it's not financially feasible to create that kind of debt for now. Whatever the case, the lack of fresh new licenses will most likely limit the growth of this digital collectible market for Funko/Droppp.

Im definitely down for every 3 weeks, it'll help my wallet haha. April Fools (all waves) have historically done terrible value wise after initial release. Im definitely with you though, some variety with genres instead of multiple waves of the same IP's would be sweet. Im still praying they do Simpsons

I haven't bought a drop since Rick and Morty and Alien. They have def tried some very obscure series for sure. But I've just tried to limit myself personally and not worried about every drop.

I do enjoy that we are getting some form of limited number runs here.

Hoping to see that come back more. Kinda wish convention pops were only at the convention. Makes the hunting more fun.

lol funny you say this because I am anti ToH although it seems Funko pushes more of it than non ToH. I just think there are so many different characters in the universe that could be made before ToH molds of the same few characters over and over. Either way, Id just be happy to see them at this point haha

Fair! I guess I never got over the original Simpsons line. Their molds were not anywhere close to accurate and I never got one after that. However, I always get the ToH ones for my Dad. So i have a personal connection to the ToH ones.

Thats understandable. I mean they do look a lot more cool than the non ToH. I just have limited space so I cant do multiple variations of the same person

I am actually okay with the cadence/schedule of them. It is a good way to keep the interest and hype alive inbetween the conventions. Like the next one on the schedule isnt till July with SDCC and Anime Expo.

Agreed. This is me as well. The TMNT and Bob's Big Boy were the two that really spoke to me from my childhood. So, I'm glad I went full ham during those two releases. I've participated here and there if there was something that peaked my interest, like the april fools egg a while back. But otherwise, I've definitely lost interest ... possibly also because I'm no longer getting any droppp emails.

I'm remember trying at the beginning for each of the drops but then it became too much. I do love the GI Joe and Transformers. I think if they can continue this type of path way then they will continue to be a hit. :freddy3:

Same it happens so often now that I feel I don't have to try for each one.

Really nice though to see more variety for everyone. But it may be hard for someone to jump on and try to get some packs if they aren't used to the NFT flow of things. Maybe not hard, but "scary"

I think the initial vibe for me was pieces that were going to be niche yet hard to obtain. I liked that idea. Its slowly become pops that I don't really care for at all since they make very similar common molds. That is what I feel like to my lack of interest in almost any of their drops recently.
