Are NFT Drops done?
I been seeing some rumors that Funko might be done with the NFT space / dropp releases. I'd have to say that I would be disappointed because we've seemed to get some of the best molds from the NFT drops and the exclusivity of them has been exciting to chase. Just curious what others may have heard or if you all think NFTs might be done.

I can't find it now, but earlier this morning I saw a message on the Droppp Discord saying that the team had layoffs but it was still business as usual. They didn't say if that business is shipping Pops and running Arcade, or if it means more drops.
If it does mean no more drops then Arcade season 3 should be a bloodbath because there is no reason to save points for the future.

I don't typically believe anything those 'influencers' say..But has been pretty quiet...

Re: Are NFT Drops done?
Droppp just announced that Arcade season 3 is being cancelled. If that's not a sign that they are shipping out the remaining Pops and then shutting down, I don't know what is.

yeah, that's a massive bummer.. would of liked to see it around a little longer. I wonder if the costs were just too high but they seemed to have moved to a more exclusive model with lower LEs so you would think the NFTs/Dropp was perfect for that approach to releases

Some sad news. I have only been purchasing from Dropp lately so pretty bummed about the news.

Re: Are NFT Drops done?
Seems like it. I was holding out hope, but that season three news all but confirms it in my eyes. They'll keep a small skeleton crew onboard to make sure the final redemptions run smoothly and are delivered then it's time to close the doors.
It's a real shame. This has been my favorite aspect of Funko for the last four years. I'll miss the drop days, hanging out with the community online, and eagerly refreshing to see what the next drop is. It's a shame too because I think this program is leagues better than the Limited Edition program that the community seems to be super hyped about. Funko didn't do a good enough job advertising and explaining how this all works. Many collectors still didn't realize these were real, physical Pops and the others wrote off the project right away because "NFT" was attached. A lot of people never took the time to learn how the process works and hated it from the start when in reality it was so simple and a lot of these Pops were very accessible, no pack opening or "gambling" required. The work put into the digital cards and sculpts for the redeemables was incredible. We really got some amazing characters, designs, and Freddy's out of this project. I feel for everyone's whose jobs were affected, and I know they'll go on to do great things. Been an emotional day today coming to terms with this all being over. I had a great time.

This is sad. I still think Funko NFT is a really good way of getting LEs and sad that they gotta be gone so soon
