SDCC and NFTs

It would be cool if Funko employees handed out cards with an NFT code like they do with the pins. People who aren't familiar with NFTs might get into it to claim theirs.

They did it last year, hopefully we got one this year too

I don't remember any employees handing out any NFTs. I think they had one in the box of fun.

I feel like the NFTs should be linked to a physical set as well though - just so you can have something to display at home - and maybe they have have a nifty shiny sticker to indicate that they're also an NFT . . . that would be cool. I feel like I'd be more inclined to buy that . . .

are you talking about the ones that they give away at the con... or just nfts in general? cuz funko has redeemable nfts, with probably the coolest looking boxes.

ya redeemable nft giveaways and redeemable ones for sale at booth as well or make chance for everyone and have the pins they give out for free with purchases in a black out wrapper with some have redeem code inside.. Heck last years figpin booth with certain purchase amount u got a figpin pin that were more valuable after

Given they did it at last year's Fundays and Fright Night, and seeing the NFT releases still going strong every month, the chances are good they have them again this year.

They did it at NYCC Fright Night too so this is the most likely thing they will do.

I know I'd be a lot to ask for and maybe the people are tired of it but I'd like the Oro Jackson (the king of the pirates ship) whether it be a con release or an NFT release. This would be to hot at the current moment based how hot One Piece is.

None of the event nfts has been redeemable for physical pops thus far. I think he means they already made physical pops of the characters ppl received in the event nft cards. The event ones were just variants of said characters, but still not redeemable. Fingers crossed they make some redeemable event nfts this year tho.

Most likely not, although I do think it would make them more coveted and tradable (unopened of course) if there was a chance at a redemption, especially for those outside the normal nft crowd.

How about an SDCC NFT scavenger hunt? Something outside that would take you to different locations, each with a unique NFT. Maybe the final destination would have a redeemable or something. You'd have to collect them all to unlock the redeemable. They could sell the first NFT to cover the redeemable cost. I like the idea of using the area around the convention center to make it bigger and more fun.

My thought was they would give you Reward points for your NFT pull. Like, 10 points for a common, 20 for uncommon and so on. That might be fun.
