I am so happy they started with TMNT. I think it is the perfect series to start with for sure.

Motu or Disney would be great follow ups…even MHA.

Not sure if anyone posted about this yet but literally came to me in a dream - Funko should make a Funko branded digital frame so we can display our NFTs on rotation. Even make the face look like a POP box. COME ON GUYS!

I am pretty excited and fortunate with this first series. I was able to get standard packs during the drop and get a couple of the legendaries and a decent amount of epic in the packs. From there I was able to acquire the third legendary because really wanted the physicals for this first run. I am now set for Freddy! I had to do some pick ups in the market to complete the set but glad I made it. Only card I am missing is the grail, but hopefully try to get it soon. Just happy to get the Freddy!!

Now the fun question is what NFT is next? Could we see some cereal characters.

Here are my thoughts on what we might see...

1. Rick & Morty - Funko has the master license for them and I think they would transition very well to NFts. The fan base is pretty large too so I could see people going for them.

2. MOTU - This is an obvious choice because Brian loves MOTU, but not sure if they'd get the license to make these or not. I want to say Mattel has a pretty good hold on MOTU right now.

3. Ad Icons with an emphasis on cereal characters like you mentioned - It's no secret that Funko loves their cereal so this would be an easy one to do that would most likely sell really well.

4. DBZ or MHA - Anime is also killer for Funko and these two would instantly be hot sellers. I hope MHA doesn't come out for a while though

5. Harry Potter, Marvel, DC, Star Wars - Funko's big money makers would totally make sense in the NFT world, but not sure if we'll see them early on.

Would add that Seinfeld (I believe Funko has the master license here as well) and The Office (given how crazy popular this show is) would probably make sense here as well - for the TV show space.

I was holding off as I've been mostly a Raphael collector (he was my little brothers favorite) but the prices came down a bit and I like the idea of having these from the first (of hopefully many!) NFT drops from Funko. Bought the wax tokens on KuCoin and transferred - took literally seconds. Now I need ot load up my KuCoin account for next drop

I've been REALLY keeping myself from trying for that mastery set. I keep telling myself save the money and time (and hair pulling with trades!) for a SW or Dis or Cereal Monster drop ONLY. But you guys make me want to try

How does acquiring these work?

Everything is done from the WAX website, you can read up on it from the Funko Blog. It's listed as Funko Digital Pop, everything you need to know. If you weren't lucky enough to get a pack from the release then it's all secondary market for those and individual cards.
