The royalty being almost 2700 is vastly better than the 1500 we had talked about. Also interesting to see that the legendary merch has crossed the 2k allotment for the first time. I wonder if some of this is Funko still looking for that sweet spot. I can live with slightly larger legendary numbers so long as the grails hold at 999. They can’t make too easy in my opinion or it’ll lose some of its luster. But that’s just my take on it.

Having this increase in cards is tough though, because it's been difficult to get enough packs to support it. Makes sense for Funko since they make some from the transactions, but if it becomes too difficult to get a full set I could see people turning away. I'm glad the number of Epics decreased from Scooby, but the odds also decreased from 8% to 6.4% for pulling an Epic. Just because almost 2700 are available doesn't mean people will be able to get them, so I'm interested to see what the final redeemed count ends up being compared to past lines.

Decided to see an estimate cost for the royalty for DC.
I'll be tracking my purchases to see how it adds up after the drop.
These are based on Scooby Doo as that is the newest set.
I do know the uncommon were actually more rare than the rare ones so I've adjusted the number for rare being more rare.

The way I look at it is if wax is high, great time to buy. If wax price is low, good time to sell to accumulate wax, but thats if you are in it for the long run.
