I would not be surprised if we see a WB horror properties mashup (like Pennywise, Conjuring nun, Annabelle, etc) for Halloween this year! Lots of possibilities with the license.

I agree and I hope these do come out as I am a huge horror fan would also add Universal Monsters as a possible NFT

That would be a great set too - we've seen them in the Pop Blitz game so maybe they could show up with NFTs as well

Anything Disney will be a long time off. Have a feeling it will be Viacom, Funko, or more Ad Icons. Licensing from Disney has to be a long and insane process. Look at Star Wars Sodas. I bet those were in works for years.

I liked the Ad Icons drop because it was some obscure characters. I think NFT drops will help Funko release certain items they normally wouldn't because they'll still make good money. I definitely think we'll get more Viacom properties, but I'm still waiting for Rick & Morty.

I would think Funko will do some more of their original characters/lines as well, since I think those were still a hit. Like expanding the Boo Hollow Paka Paka line, or a "best of" Paka Paka pops that way there wouldn't be any licensing issues since they're mostly their own IP I think.

Yeah I think it would be very similar to Nickelodeon. I know the latest Adult Swim wave had Courage the Cowardly Dog, Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, and Cow & Chicken. I'd throw my wallet at my computer if they came out with a bunch of Courage the Cowardly Dog villains

I’m growing slightly doubtful that we’ll see a Disney drop given that Disney has already dropped its own run of NFTs and is planning more. Granted, the Disney NFTs and the Funko designed NFTs would look vastly different, I can still see Disney wanting to have a run at the this without someone else using their IP for a similar product.

That said I’d love to see it happen

If they have the same mentality as they do with toys though they’d likely be all for doing Funko NFTs in addition to their own. They license all sorts of companies to make toys as well as making their own, so they could be down for doing the same with NFTs. I tend to think if there’s money to be made Disney will be interested.
