DC x Funko Series 2

I really like the Riddler Freddy, the great thing about them doing DC is we could get endless drops. There are so many characters.

I’m always game for DC villain Freddy’s. Hopefully this builds momentum towards one day seeing a Bane Freddy.

Good call, I like the Freddy Pops that are not just a Freddy head on a character’s body - like the Destro or Optimus Prime from this year’s Box of Fun. As long as we can still see the freckles and crown with the mask on, Bane Freddy would be sweet.

If as many people pass on the drop and buy on AH, packs might not sell out...if that is so, will they burn unsold packs like the Bob Ross series? If less packs get sold, less redeemables and epics.

Using the BR drop as the precedent, then yeah I would expect any unsold DC packs to be burned. I’m going to wait and see it to before tbh…more ppl are into Funko NFTs today plus even if it’s not as appealing as I’d like, any DC drop should outsell Bob Ross.

Definitely they will sell more DC packs but next week's drop will test to see if 100k packs are too much or just right. If it will be like BR, they will give us a heads up right before they burn packs. Some people are saying they will be sitting this drop out.

I think they will more and more if it continues to sell. It's really hard to tell if packs don't sell out it means secondary market could be high depending on how many is sold. I would think this would still sell out if the y were dropping this every month rather than every two weeks.

Absolutely agree that this drop will yield a lot of consumer data for Funko.

I’m extremely excited for this set. Another Superman Funko we all been waiting for. Different types of Batman. It nice they are putting out more packs for giving everyone a chance to get a redeemable.

This is probably the drop for you then. Too many people I talk to have said they're going to pass on this drop altogether.

Chance for legendary, yes. Chance for grail, probably not. Odds dropped from 0.2% to 0.1% to pull a grail.

I might open a couple packs to grail hunt but the ROI with this many cards is just not worth buying packs for any other purpose. For the cost of a couple premium packs you could just buy anything else you wanted from secondary.

It will take a long time, and I'd bet it will sell out. People will panic will burn them, but I'm def getting less here. Odds just seem too insane, but I'll do my dice rolls. Need the Batmans. But I think EVERYONE gets in on this one

I am going to limit myself to $60 of packs tomorrow, and then just slowly try to build royalty. I have to think the Epics will be pretty inexpensive since there are 6k of each.

People will definitely try to keep prices high at first so I would recommend waiting a bit for prices to come down. No way this should be the normal $12-15 per Epic.

I still need to complete royalty for the Power Rangers set, ugh (still short 8 epics). I think I might just go for royalty on DC series 2, depending on how much I can get the epics for.

Also, I just noticed that Atomic Hub added the option to make purchases with a credit card ($10 minimum). Has anyone used this yet? I don't recall it being an option 2 weeks ago, but I recall that they had said it was coming.

I tried the credit card option yesterday. It was pretty painless and a great option if you don’t have a lot of wax. I bought a power rangers pack and of course got mostly commons. I’m not sure which way to go for the dc drop. If I should buy packs or just go individually. I really only want the riddler Freddy.
