Kind of crazy to see value dropping so dramatically these last few drops. HB2 you can basically get Legendary cards less then the cost of a premium pack. Is this trend going to continue or is there going to be a spike. Thoughts?

Yeah, i think that is a weird anomaly. But with only 4 epics, price would be high anyway I think. I don't think sets have been high value since Halloween 2

It’s always been the case that certain drops are high value balanced out by the more moderate ones. Even at the start you had TMNT super high, then Big Boy was inexpensive, and we’ve seen the constant up and down prices.

Epic prices really depend on the Freddy. A super popular Freddy like the Megazord is going to drive up prices, but average ones like Dig ‘Em keep prices reasonable.

Many ppl including me thought HB2 drop was pretty lackluster. Just depends on how cool the Freddy Royalty or Redeemables are. Has to be bomb

Idk if its worth it the process is complicated. I gave up on it I just wait for prices to drop and I am spending less then what it took to get the NFT

Yeah I think it really depends on the series and redeemables offered. I do think people were selling off some previous cards to buy into April Fools packs if they missed during the sale.

I agree with this. I didn't expect much from the April Fool drop , but now I'm trying to sell what I can to complete set.

I liked the april fools set. I got 2 eggs, but I should have invested in the epics. I was just trying to get more chances at the grail so I got another pack or two but they had almost nothing. XD So I'm stuck without any epics at all.

To me, it all depends on what’s being drop and the demand popularity seems to determine the price. I wouldn’t worry to much nft’s are well liked among the masses.

I think it's about the hype and what people want. I didn't see to many people want the redeems for HB2 but everyone wanted the horror stuff or the Halloween drops and even the April fools drop. It's all about what the people want more and that's when you start seeing higher prices for legendary and grails. Expect some drops to be like HB2 with not expensive redeems but then expect other drops like Halloween to have higher priced redeems.

Drop popularity always baffles me. Drops that I think were going to be hot and impossible to grab were relatively easy. Drops that I thought no one was going to have interest in sellout quickly. Hard to gauge unless it's anime.

The amount of packs has had some impact on prices as well. Certain sets have had WAY too many packs imo and then they have to burn the remainder. I know that happened with House of the Dragon, but didn't seem to hurt the secondary prices too much. The really niche sets like Sid and Marty Krofft and even HB2 were just that.. very niche and the prices reflect that.

I like what they did with the April Fools set and kept the supply a bit lower and I think that's why the prices are inflated a bit. As of writing this 70% of the standard and 80% of the premium packs have been opened.

Interest of specific pop has a big play into the value as well, look at the HOTD legendaries compared to the grail, the grail value has been solid since the drop.

Kind of to be expected though, no? All NFTs have gone through a boom peak then settled into a steady floor.

Not really shocked, NFTs are very volatile like crypto currency AND NFTs have to appeal to the collector. If a set isn't popular, it's going to be worth less.

Yeah H2 was the last big one. All the others seem to have taken a dip. I almost feel like buying the card and redeemable are better then ripping packs. Look at Nick 2, I only wanted Rocko and Bighead. Just simpler to buy the cards and be done.

I only collect certain franchises or even character within a franchise so it makes it easier to pick and choose. If I don't like the royalty I won't even by packs, I will just by the redeemable cards.

I still have 2 premium packs of April Fools to open. I'm just trying to finish a couple of royalty sets 1st. Obviously hoping for a grail. Hit the grail in premium pack of HOD. Probably get rid of that one

I don’t mind the lower values because they’re more attainable for me

- I think if you’re looking from a value standpoint, every new line/wave/etc has the same hype curve. High when it’s new, then people get used to it or even overwhelmed, then when it’s been forgotten and sits in the hands of forever homes, value climbs back up. Same cycle it seems.

It's really just like any collectible - physical or virtual. Supply and Demand driving everything over time. FOMO and other behaviors (market timers, flippers, etc.) skewing demand and value at times - usually upon initial release.

I think the lasting "value" of the NFTs will align to the popularity of the brand. Collect what you love because you love it. Not because you think you're going to get rich from it. If you're looking at these as long term investments - best of luck to you. You might get lucky with some that appreciate over time, but most will decline in value as demand wanes.

I’m hoping to see new sets. Skipped the last couple of drops. Miss April fools, lost track of time by 10mins. For me the Freddy drops are my favorite. Halloween 1 and 2. April fools but prices are two much now.
For any other drops if I buy packs on release the epics are what will keep me going or stop me. If I need only a couple to complete I’ll finish it but if I got 1 or 2 and it’s a 10-12 epics to finish. I’ll probably stop

I really think it depends on the license. Also the number of packs is a large determinant, supply and demand. Fortunately for me I collect Teen Titans Go! and those prices are super low.

I agree 100%. I think the craze has died down. To think at some point in time there was a bored ape nft worth as much or even more than some da Vinci paintings is crazy to me.
