NFT Coins

Postby Beaniiman » Mon Apr 17, 2023 7:51 am

Have they done anything with the coins yet? I think there could be a lot of cool things they could do with them if they get around to it. What are some of your ideas?

Can’t wait to see what ideas people have. Me, I like the idea of putting them on display, like in a frame, just like I do with my figpins

Oops, meant to put my comment with yours. My grandmother gave me her state quarter collection in a display that she then had framed.

Oooh, physical NFT coins would be sweet! They sure would display nicely next to the NFT pops.

I love the coins. I tried to get all of them but haven’t been on top of it for like half a year. I love the coin designs and would absolutely want real ones.

I still haven't got amy of the coins. They're not really though right? They don't send you one. If they did that would of been cool. I would want to start collecting the different sets. This idea could be expanded.

Do you mean getting a physical coin to match the NFT?
In addition to the redeemable pop?

Sounds like it. Kinda like the matching discs/pogs that come with the sodas. Although I'd imagine it'd be difficult with various molds for the coins for the different IPs and series.

OP is just talking about the series coins that you can get in packs and how they currently have no utility whatsoever.

Can’t remember the %, but each pack you open you have a chance to pull a series coin which is basically just a bonus digital collectible. Normally they sell for 10 cents after the fact so nothing too special.

Oh! Got it, thanks for the clarity. It would be cool to see a small collection book of pins, kind of like a Pokédex, specifically for those.

Edit: those might be closer to gym badges in comparison to Pokémon instead of the mons themselves.

Always a favorite from every drop, the coins. Great designs and relatively cheap to get. Maybe one day they'll have a coin royalty??

The coins would be great to be included with your redemptions. Sorta like a challenge coin.

I think a coin would be cool. Especially if it had some use. Like maybe it got you access to a special Funko NFT event or something.

I wished there was a way to keep them even after redemption

Agreed! I always struggle with do I keep the redemption coin or actually redeem. There's been quite a few that look super cool. Wish they gave you back a non-redeemable version for collecting.

Maybe to use in a slotmachine lol
But I do like the coins. I have all of them and will continue to collect those.
In the end, they are still NFT's.

It would be such a fun surprise if those who received an NFT series coin from the packs, have an ability to redeem at a later date something physical as well...... but if not, at least start allowing the coin become a physical redeemable and let it mail with your redeemable pops too!

NFT coins are a great expression of each Series. I personally want the coin for each Series whether they are or are not valuable.

There are always extra redeemable pops that don't get redeemed.. so how about if you have a coin in your wallet you have a random chance to win one of the pops that weren't redeemed. Better than them all being destroyed!

Yes! That would be great.
You get a non-redeemable once you have redeemed.

I guess people would try to trick others with these, so…
