I just saw the video from Funko’s instagram about the redeemables and it’s an interesting but cool choice. The kids as D&D players and the grail is a dragon they’re all fighting. Plus the royalty as Eddie. Extremely cool drop.

Edit: after seeing the glam, I kinda wish they gave Freddy long black hair to better match Eddie but still going for it regardless.
- a new pose would have been cool too. Like his iconic horn with tongue out pose but I don’t think you could do that with Pop! proportions,

This is a big one for sure. The grail looks huge, the royalty is major heat and as a full set they are cohesive.

Not sure I love the redemptions other than Eddie, but Stranger Things is my line and I will need to 100% this. Gonna be flying to Seattle about two hours after this drop though, so that should be interesting timing wise

Royalty is amazing but 100k packs is a little less amazing.. at least it’s 75k standard packs and 25k premium. I will be curious to see if this does in fact sell out or if they burn some. Could be some pricey epics for people royalty hunting

Wow, this is a big drop. 75k is the most standard even as part of a set, right? Still a smaller drop, overall, than DC since it has 50,000 of each (1,000,000 cards for this one having 750,000 cards, if my numbers are correct).

Yes you are correct in those #'s. I like the new weights toward the standard packs but I don't know if that many cards/packs is the sweet spot. Sure they hope to sell that many and want to have enough supply to meet the expected demand, but the more cards they put into a set the less of a chance of hitting a grail (assuming it's 999 which this dragon looks to be higher). I know in the grand scheme of things it's not a huge swing in the grail chances when they add a bunch of cards but it's still something!

500,000 cards = 0.20%
750,000 cards = 0.13%
1,000,000 cards = 0.10%

I also really like the idea of keeping the legendary LE lower because a lot of them are rolling in between $30-$60 unless it's a super popular character. Some of these are even LE 1500-2000. I would be curious to see how people would react if they had a bunch of LE 1500 pieces at SDCC. People would probably go crazy for them regardless of character because they see $$$. I haven't seen it happening as much with the NFT stuff. Just an observation and there are obviously exceptions.

I haven't been able to participate in a lot of the NFT drops in the past nine months but I'm in for Freddy as Eddie. The other boys are all super cool but I think my real goal is the royalty here. I do love the bright red color on that dragon though.

Wow I love this whole set! I really like that it's an entire wave that fits a theme. I mean I'd much rather they release an actual wave instead of nfts but it is what it is.

I don't usually collect the stranger things line but I'll definitely try for these.
