Yeah, i think it is the hope and gambling aspect. But I should probably just buy on the marketplace. Haven't hit any redeemables in awhile lately.

Well that means you're gonna hit on your next drop right? What goes down must come up? That's what I tell myself with each release :freddy2:

Is ripping packs more or less addictive than a casino? Lol

Buying packs to specifically pull the grail is 100% NOT worth it. If you only want the grail, I'd maybe buy 1-2 packs then go straight to the marketplace or resale. It all depends on what you're looking for!

How many packs would you usually buy if you like the drop?

3-4 premium packs, anything more than that usually depends on if I get any redeemables in those early packs. If I strike out in the early packs, I'll call it a day and move on lol

that's a good method. Usually if I don't hit anything on first couple premiums i figure it's not meant to be.

I play Faith by Limp Bizkit and click to the next card any time he says "Faith". It normally works better when friends are opening though lol

I think everyone has their little ritual they have when ripping, i know guys like ripping at 2-3 am when people are asleep lol

Lol it is cool to hear of all the difficult rituals everyone has developed to help get reedemables. I've tried waiting several times and havent gotten anything. So far only opening as soon as I get the pack has worked lol

I really don't see the value in buying packs anymore unless it's a series that you want the royalty and several of the redeemables imo..

There's no other feeling than opening a pack and finding that redeeemable. As soon as I pull one I feel like all the money I spent was worth it (even if the "value" or whatever is not equivalent). It just feels like a win, which is something everyone loves to feel.

I used to feel that way when I was younger and collected Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Nothing beats pulling a Holo or Rare card. Makes trading more fun that way. But after failing so many times to pull what I was hoping for out of so many drops, I've realized that the market is pretty tame in purchasing the legendary pulls I want. Even some of the grails are reasonable.

So you can't go wrong either way. But buying them outright loses that "gamble" aura that comes with a strong sense of euphoria when you win. Obviously that means if you don't pull anything, you get instant buyer's remorse. Either way, that's all in good fun!

I personally like the thrill of the rip...... but, if it's a line I really want to collect the entire set of, I will purchase a few premium packs to rip, then I'll usually head to the secondary market to finish out. I got really lucky with the first MLP drop and was scoring a redeemable almost every pack I purchased. Well, that luck ran out so now I do a little bit of both, ripping and buying lol

I agree I think this is the best method, trying to collect all from pulling you would be paying way over the top lol, but a nice rip of a few (possible scores) then buying the rest seems like the best bet

I definitely enjoy ripping packs, but realistically it's better to buy the pieces you want rather than continue to buy packs and hope for a redeemable. The odds of even scoring one are usually less than 1%.

Depends which redeemable you're looking for - sometimes the royalty set is cheaper when buying packs, but it always depends on what you pull.

As for me, it depends on the drop. Usually, I only go for the Royalty if it's a Freddy, but I also buy one pack to try my luck. If I do get a redeemable, I use that to trade for a future or current drop.

I personally like to pull the cards myself but if it were a series that I really wanted for example dragon ball z then I'd go out of my way to buy the cards and all the redemptions.

smart strategy, i do that as well, and if its a pop i know i can get signed then will do that and will increase the trading power of the pop for something i want later on or just want the money now to buy one i want.

It’s definitely smarter financially to buy the ones you want outright. I wish I did that more often. I’m a sucker for blind boxes/packs, though.

how are the nft card pack quantities so far, used to do pulls first started at ATLA and scooby-doo got a few legendaries and a grail and had good luck in subsequent pulls. then noticed the quantity was going up and had less luck with not pulling any legendaries at all. so is it worth it to try with pulls

It is just random. I think with the Ultras being added, it does improve odds you will pull a redeemable slightly, but I wouldn't count on it. The last 2-3 drops, I have not pulled anything. But I usually only buy 2-3 premium packs at a time.

Thinking of grabbing the Freddy Grimlock today after the coins are sent out. So sometimes just buying works for me, lol
