Cleaning stains off loungefly bags

Postby lilsnoopy714 » Tue May 30, 2023 7:05 pm

One of my son got one of my wife’s loungefly dirty and was wondering if anyone have any recommended products they use to remove stains from a backpack?

Depending on what the stain is, lightly going over it with a magic eraser could help just be very gentle!, if it’s permanent marker a dry erase marker works for that, blue dawn dish soap, I’ve even heard people say purel hand sanitizer is great at removing stains lol always test a small area on the bag first and be very careful around any designs some loungefly can be delicate. Just some ideas to try :) let us know how it goes!

What is the stain and do you know what is the material is? If it’s a canvas bag, canvas cleaner or just plain old dawn is really good at taking out stains just don’t use an abrasive cloth.

I was going to also say the magic eraser, just test it out first and be gentle. Best of Luck.

I’m so sorry to hear! If it’s just dirt (not permanent marker or something) I typically use some dawn dish soap diluted in warm water and a soft cloth. I’m a huge fan of purses and bags and that is usually what I start with first. The magic eraser could work, however you risk losing color or harming the bag if you do that too much! Best of luck, hope it comes out!

What we do at Disneyland is have a grocery store/plastic bag packed in the Loungefly, and then when it needs to be on the floor or possibly getting wet - place it into the bag. Once done with the ride, take it out of the plastic bag, store, and go!

Another vote for magic eraser! I'm pretty tough on my bags on park days. I'm not local to the parks, so the bags are with me all day and are put through the ringer. A magic eraser can save the day and clean up the bag nicely.

These have been great suggestions and I'm for sure gonna try the magic eraser since a few of my bags have had run-ins at con or just in life in general. LOL Hope it helped and the kiddo didn't end up in hot water.

I need to try this too. My moon knight bag from last year has been hanging on my wall but for reason it got stained on top. It’s something small but it’s annoying having a dirty bag

I need to do spring cleaning on Marvel Loungfly wall myself and get 3 more on the wall up. I just had perfect place of the ones I had but just couldn't help myself and got a few more. I really hope SDCC doesn't not have any good Marvel one or I will have to wait in line to pick it up if we get another cool one like President Loki bag. (maybe a new Winter Solider bag)

I use the Shout gel stick. You can put some on your finger and gently rub the area. Leave for an hour and it’s gone. Might take a couple tries for marker but I’ve been able to get stuff out of the material before. Like it never happened!

Magic Erasers does wonders to stains. Just get it a little damp and give it scrub

I've used a little bit of my shoe cleaner, and it worked great (RESHOEVN8R). Just a drop or two on a wet cloth, rubbed it in, then used a dry cloth after. Maybe I'm crazy but it worked!

I use Jason Markk sneaker cleaner on the vinyl stuff, it is good for a lot of different fabrics and waterless

For dirt stains, I've used warm water with Dawn dish soap. For pens/markers, I've used a magic eraser. I usually try cleaning in a small spot to make sure whatever cleaner I'm using doesn't cause more damage. Good luck!

Awesome All Purpose cleaner in the yellow bottle does wonders on any kind of shoes. I bet it would work well on loungefly bags as well. No need to use anything abrasive just a clean rag or towel.

I use Clorox wipes or water but I wipe very lightly. You have to be careful to avoid causing the color(s) to fade.

As others have echoed already, I would follow the advice here but using the most gentle solutions first. You definitely want to start off with the least damaging cleaner product and then only work up as necessary.

True, and start with a small amount on a test section in an out of view spot. A little dab will do is true
