I try to think ahead. But then make impulse purchases anyway so dont know how well its working.

It is true, but for me SDCC is been hard to get stuff. Last year didn't win the lottery and try to get the stuff I want was hard. Even, I finish buying some online at the Loungefly website and It was the best it arrives save at home.
