I read an update to an article that said Funko is not going to stop producing posters with Mondo. Sounds like 20 people were let go from Mondo (out of 40) though.

I’ll try to reserve judgement until more information is released, but if what is being reported so far is true, then that is a travesty. Mondo has been an amazing art company for many years. Super disappointed and, frankly, angry.

Very disappointed in Funko for this. Business is business, but layoffs are a huge pull towards negative public perception. Only a year out from the purchase too.. gut-wrenching news.

Mondo is the reason why I started poster collecting. Ultimately though, it's a business and just like many companies out there, they gotta cut cost. Still completely sucks for those that were let go and were at Mondo since day 1.

I felt like this was inevitable once they took over. Crazy thing is I finally ordered my first Mondo print just 5 fays ago. Now I'm saddened there won't be chances for more.

Unclear to me if it's reduction in headcount or actually the end of mondo posters. Cutting the actual poster product sounds abrupt after buying it relatively recently, we will see where they go with it

They may not stop trying to make prints, but none of the major artist will work with them again after this.

Businesses were much more inclined to grow and take risks in 2022, compared to the economic environment we find ourselves in 2023. Funko probably saw Mondo as an opportunity, but now with millions in unsold inventory and rising interest rates Mondo probably didn't fit in their budget sadly.

When I heard the news, I was extremely devastated. I was able to discover so many of my favorite artists through Mondo and the amazing posters they made. Definitely was not expecting this but I truly wish that all the people affected by the layoff will be able to bounce back.

I know it’s a hard thing to take but it happened for a reason I guess. There has been so many business that have gone under like Toys R Us or Blockbuster so I know they will be missed. I have a lot of the vinyl records and the posters from Mondo and got to say the material was always top notch.
