Question.....HELP!!

Here's my question: I won the hand painted Elwood Proto on ebay. Is this a Becker era proto? The seller is saying it is "Hand Made"??? I'm thinking NOT. I was hoping maybe some of the older collectors could help with any info? Thanks in advance for your help.

doesn't look like a wax. plus, the seller said it had some smudge marks and paint chips. and as far as i'm aware, mike never had any resin protos.

Looks to be similar to some of the hand painter protos i have purchased from Bill Becker - including being sealed in a plastic bag.

That's pretty cool Bro!!.....actually that looks just like an early custom I did for an old friend in California. I didn't have my painting technique down just yet or the use of the correct paint at that time. I remember him telling me the paint was coming off in some places.

If that's a heat sealed bag, It came from the factory in China. Mike found a stash of hand painted proto's over there and most were a bit beat up. Brother bill had sold some on the bay. I'm pretty sure it's one of those.

No. I have a few. It would be one of the three original proto's that were painted at Funko and sent over for color matching.

I have bought a few protos from Bill Becker that are in a plastic bag and the paint jobs are less than perfect. Blotches, smears, paint chips, imperfections....he said a lot of them looked like that.
