Dr Whooves Manufacturing problem?

Postby Tupin » Sun Apr 07, 2013 9:12 pm

Noticed this on the Dr Whooves that I just got: some sort of dried superglue on his tail? Anyone know how I could get it off? I've heard acetone, but I'm not sure if that would be good for the vinyl...

Do not use acetone because it will also take the paint off

There is nothing you can do except return it or exchange it.

Pretty much this. I've heard of people using non-acetone nail polich remover but I've never myself. These things are thrown together in mass production at some factory in china. Quality control slips up from time to time and if there is a problem, you can return the MLP/Pop/Wobbler to where you purchased it for a refund or an exchange.

IF (big if) the tail is cast in dark brown you can use a bit of acetone-free nail polish remover and a Q-tip and carefully go over. It will remove some of the glossy finishing, but will leave everything else intact.
Non-acetone nail polish removes the paint too, so can not be used on painted areas where the vinyl underneath is another colour.
(I know this from experimenting with removing spots from my Pops. On Sulley I just got down to the original vinyl colour, he only needs a glossy touch-up to look perfect, but on some of the Pops with painted skin colour I just created more damage then there already were)
