These are a bit cooler given that the heads aren't round. And I like anything Funko (except SMALL HEADS!!!)

That being said, it makes sense for Funko to make these. They should be a huge success. I'll be buying a couple of these fo sho.

I'm kinda liken these, and see a whole new wave of collectibles for me. And yes, I'm fooling around
with Photoshop again, but if Funko did a regular one with a variation like this....
That is how I got into Funko, all the variations.

Good luck, looking forward to seeing them for real.

They're only 3.75 inches (like GI Joe - Star Wars action figures). This brings army-builders (fans who buy multiple copies of the same figure to build small toy armies) to Funko. I see people building their own armies of Klingons and Gorns already.

And we really wanted a smaller item to make...This 3.75 inch is exciting for us!

These points make it really exciting for me too. I wasn't too sure about the form factor when I saw them but its starting to grow on me.
Obscure Marvel characters are the delicious creamy center of a collection as far as I'm concerned... can't wait to see what you do. Super-Adaptoid, Taskmaster and Jocasta are three obscure characters I'd love to see. Deadpool isn't obscure so I expect him at some point :D
ImageImageImage
Brian's 2nd point is very exciting too as it allows for an endless range of variants of your (enik) favorite (slee) characters (stak)

The 3.75 size is the icing on the cake as far as I'm concerned. Even Randy Bowen said that he would have standardized on a smaller statue & mini-bust size if he had the option to do it over. Collector real-estate space is limited (wait a second... I've seen some of the funkofunatic collections... I'm the only one with space problems ;-) )

its much harder to do those kind of variants though with licensed characters.
you haven't to follow the brand bible for most casts.

we will probably see more characters, which will be cool, and slight variants (if they exist in the source material).

I like the HB guys and would love to see some Krofft characters and some old school advertising characters.
These also look like they would be fun to customize on my own.

sorry Sluggo. With things going the way they are and $ being so tight this line is not something that sparks my interest to where I would avoid another line that I like just to give this one a try. maybe if the economy were better I would look at them but don't think that I would be sold on it. ;-)
