Rock Candy Vinyl Figures!

I ordered the Rock Candy 1977 Superstar Barbie figure this week and she arrived today.

I like her a lot. She can stand without the removable base. I have to admit that I prefer this style to the Barbie Mystery Minis style, which I'm sure over time I'll come to like. Some Barbie collectors are reporting finding the Rock Candy Barbie figures at Walmart, so I'm going to make the effort to visit one this weekend and see if they have the other figures.

Loving the Barbies !!!! Anyone know if Funko is doing something with her for the SDCC? I'd like to see multi packs of Metallic Barbies.

Yea.

I've not seen anything mentioned on any of the doll collecting boards I check for SDCC.

I was just thinking that the Superstar Barbie figure would look great with some glitter on her boa and metallic finish for her dress to match the doll's original outfit.

I love the Rock Candy line so far! I am missing the Harley Quinn one (my order was canceled by HT), but I was able to find a Catwoman one in store (woohoo!).

I'm hoping they make some Marvel ones soon (Spider-Gwen, Captain Marvel, She Hulk, etc).

Walmart has been doing better about having things available online, so hopefully she will be easy to get there

So, seeing that they are making Marvel Rock Candy figures now, One has to ask, are Star Wars Rock Candy figures possible?

I wanna say yes but you never know with Star Wars. Took us this long just to get Star Wars minis and I'm waiting on the Dorbz. Not to mention Funko having to make POP Deluxe instead of Rides. Only time will tell.

In other Rock Candy news, my collection is going to explode with all the recent announcements and we haven't even touched DC yet in the 12 Days. I think I might have to get a mortgage on a new house just for my collection.

Had no interest in Rock Candy until I opened the GS box and saw Enchantress. Unfortunately I had already committed to giving it to my GF's daughter as one of her Christmas presents, but then Priscilla came to the rescue and gifted me one of her extras :-)

I thought the initial wave looked a little too cutesy, like they were made for little kids. But I REALLY love this figure! It looks like on this and some of the other newer ones that they're going a little more sexy/ saucy with them which I think is great :-)

I'm going to guess the GoT Rock candy will be Daenerys, Cersei, Sansa, Melisandre, Margaery, Ygritte and potentially Brienne.

I just hope we don't get multiple versions of Dany when there are more characters that could be translated to this style.

I'm loving how much love Funko's pouring into this line! Lara looks incredible!

They're really knocking it out of the park with these licenses. I think the reason why a lot of people weren't originally on board with Rock Candies was because they felt too much like cheaper Vinyl Vixens (which also weren't exactly beloved) and because Funko launched the line with Barbie, which didn't exactly show off how cool the style could be.

But with DC, Marvel, and soon Game of Thrones, along with one-offs like Moana and Lara, I'm hoping these catch on more. If Funko continues pushing these with the same intensity that they pushed Dorbz, I'll be a happy collector.

I love rock candy personally. A line featuring female characters in a cute, compact, but detailed style is right up my alley! I'm looking forward to all the fantasy ones (lotr/hobbit/GoT/harry potter) and hoping for some disney in the future. And also Raven from Teen Titans. But I'm sure they'll make many I didn't know I wanted.

Right? I love them more and more each time I get a new one. They are beautiful. That Lara Croft is awesome and I wasn't even that excited about Tomb Raider.

I love the Marvel Rock Candy and really hope that Star Wars isn't too far behind. There are so many amazing female characters and they would be great in this style.

I also hope we get more than just Dany. I need a Sansa, Margaery, and Brienne for sure. Arya would be adorable, too. They should just make all the amazing ladies of GoT.

I'm so glad this line is thriving! I had been planning on getting some and then I finally got Enchantress and wow! The detail is so amazing. I can't wait to get more and to see the GOT ones. lol

And that we're getting Hobbit/LOTR RC! Hopefully we get Galadriel and Arwen. I think the long dresses would look really cool in this style, almost like art nouveau almost.

On line shopping is the way to go for this line for me. There are several trusted Funko retailers - some even have promo codes for free shipping or % off.
