I definitely also have quite a few mostly from sdcc. I do like the packaging and pulling chases are always cool. I did buy a few more when the funko site had one of their sales. chasing chases! I hope they continue the line but if not I have a lot of dorbz still too! lol

Exclusive to cons would make it more interesting for collector's.

Especially when it comes to finding the chase.

I do like the rewinds and hope they stick around. Maybe just do limited runs and releases.
I like these on my wall.

They look good on a wall with some old blockbuster videos also. :)

I know with Funko restructuring according to all the articles. Even though they just Released Funko Rewinds, do you think it will be a line that they keep?

Me personally I collect all the Freddy ones, so I hope they keep it going.

I would guess we will find out soon if they aren't featured in the coming soon portion of Fundays 2024. I personally like you only kept the Freddy Funko ones and gave away the other ones I got at the past years Fundays. I personally don't see the appeal enough to spend my own money on it.

I bought a few of these at SDCC last year. I like how they look on a book shelf.
Honestly haven't opened them up yet. So might have a chase in one of them. Hopefully all of them ;)

I hope it sticks around. I think it would be cool see them just come out with all the retro movies and such.
Maybe a Horror theme of the first VHS covers of Freddy, Jason, Chucky and such.

Haven’t heard much lately about them
. But Sdcc was the release I think right I most of them there

i think i got one from sdcc and that is all. i dont think they are appealing at the price point they are at. i know they have chases and all but i still dont feel that they are worth it but as other people have said we will see if they are featured more at cons because that may help keep them going.

Agreed I think them and sodas are pretty much the same thing. No reason to have both lines. I have the Freddy ones from sdcc and that’s about it

IMHO I dont see rewinds sticking around, unless they keep them "behind" conventions. I like how Pops can be displayed and see the figure (in or oob) vs rewind style. Where you aren't able to really see the figure.

Making them a convention exclusive is a neat idea, since most of the exclusives go online immediately now a days. Making those the event only item could boost the collectability a little bit.

If Blockbuster can survive so can Funko Rewind. The VHS past from the past are pretty amazing.

The line was pretty cool to see at sdcc last year
Even if they just bring them out for conventions it’ll be worth it to keep a line going
But I can see why they’d stop the line completely but it’s always a bummer to see if something you like is discontinued
Hey, take care and have an awesome day.

I like them ecspecially the clam shell case. I have mine standing infront of the cases. I was hoping for some HP ones and more Disney.

I do like the packaging like a VHS tape but I don't like the look of them. Again, much like the Sodas, the anticipation of getting a Chase is awesome but I'm not sure if this line will survive.

I personally wouldn't mind they being a one time deal. I do enjoy the few I have but think the idea would get really old fast if they continued.

They're cool, and I really like the packaging, but the problem is that Funko is trying to chase the next pop. Of the alternate lines (for lack of a better term) I think I liked the Rock Candy best. I like the video game idea and look forward to that. It would be awesome if their different lines were characters in the game too.

The packaging is great, but not enough to keep this line alive. I have never purchased any Rewind figures.

Noticed all the Rewinds on the Funko site are on sale and so that may be a telling sign it will not survive. Don't even remember the last release.

I like the ones I have - Freddys and a couple of others. Price point is too high to collect them actively and no all characters look great in that format. If they continue, they have to continue in much smaller quantities, and preferable as Con or Event exclusives.

Must make room for Funko DVD, Betamax, LP, Casette, and CD!

I don’t think so. They had TONS at the buckeye warehouse sale. I thought they were a cool tbh so I’m kinda bummed. Gonna be similar to other discontinued lines.

They're a fun novelty but it's more of a nostalgia bomb than something with real legs, IMO. I don't know if I have much interest in seeing licenses that were never available in the VHS format in that style. I have a few and I like them a lot but I don't feel a burning need for more.

We haven't seen any new ones in awhile. I personally liked them, but I think the price point with all that plastic really killed it's movement.
