Monkey vs Robot Spastik Plastiks

Postby Otto13 » Mon Jul 19, 2004 10:20 am

The Monkey Assisn and Gorilla Robot are too freaking cool for words! The Drunk is cool also but pales in comparison to the other two! :-drunk I was going to The Con pretty much for the Wobblers (and Swobobatt's birthday :winking: ) but Funko's Spastik Plastiks are way better than I had ever expected! :clapping:

Let's face it...we have come to expect Funko to blow us away...but this is total mind-blowing! :-a
I am way too excited! Somebody slap me! :toothy:

Can I just poke you? :poke: I agree Otto. Funko has outdone themselves once again. My favorite of the MvsR Spastiks is definately the Monkey Assassin. I'm looking forward to seeing what other Spastiks Funko has in stored for us in the future.

Me too! Me too! I miss poking Otto... :poke: The monkey assasin has to be the coolest! I might have to clean out some of my wobblers to make room for the Spastiks. I think I need to make a special space for an "Otto." My flare for the drunk science guy, well, let's just say it reminds me of a few college mornings...

I'm a little confused here. Are the Monkey vs Robot toys being called Spastik Plastik??? I see they come in what appears to be a gleam tube, but I didn't realize they were considered part of the SP line.

Postby gline29 » Mon Jul 19, 2004 6:19 pm

They are pretty much the same i believe. But i dont know if they will have spastik plastik printed on their package. Im gonna guess they arent technically part of the spastik plastik line, but i could be totally wrong.

They are very similar, but I don't think they are officially Spastik Plastiks. Anyone have an opposing viewpoint?

They are listed in the "Customs & Exclusives" section of the Funko site, so I'd imagine they're "official" Spastiks.

I think they should definately be counted as a Spastik Plastik. After all, the Bush and Clinton wobblers done in conjunction with Bosley are still considered Wacky Wobblers. Whatever you call them, they are awsome. I tried to get a set off of the LTJ site and it looks like they might already have sold out. That is crazy.

The MVSR are my first Spastik's. I don't know which one I like more but I think I am leaning to the monkey. He looks so cool in his suit.

Did anyone else order the MVSR limited edition pin set?
I did and realized the other day that I didn't check my box thoroughly for them and I have long since thrown the box out.
I was just so excited to get the new spastiks that I forgot about the pin set. I just don't know where they would've fit in that box though.
Oh well, you live and learn.

Yeah, just remember the contest is in the UK.

Great NEWS!!!!!!!!

Been checking that site religiously waiting for news on the glows, figures that I would stop checking for a few days, new news is posted! Thanks for hooking us up though!

Was looking around at the other stuff there, and saw this http://www.monkeyvsrobot.net/read/archives/LTJap2.html . Not sure if anyone posted anything on it (too lazy to look tonight) but I see he mentions that he is working on a 20" robot!! Too Cool!!
