Re: Still trying to locate glitters Twilight, Lyra, Octavia.
Hi, welcome to the forum. The crystal ponies are great, definitely some of my favorites. but we have a thread for this here:
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=48467
I suggest adding your name to the list, and we as a community will help you find your crystal ponies along with all the other funatics who want the same thing! We go by first-come, first-serve as is fair.
Also, just for future notice, this is technically a "wanted" thread, which must be posted in the "collector's sales and trades" part of the forum. That does require a minimum of 6 months attendance here to use. But add yourself to the pony list and you're halfway there. Good luck!

I don't think 30 will cut it anymore. They are $18.50 before tax, and shipping is a solid $10 since they're so heavy. I paid one funatic $30 and that was at cost. Consider the gas it takes to get one sometimes. One store is 45 minutes away from me that I go to, that's like $8 in gas alone.

hmm my recent crystal find was 16.50 including tax and its costing less than $6 to ship priority to the east coast. I'm not sure you got at cost price.

Remember shipping from CA to anywhere back east is going to 10 bucks priority mail over 1 pound. Then if you have to buy a box and shipping material plus gas to the post office.

I believe Becky was speaking in general terms...shipping fluctuates if you don't use priority shipping and how its packaged. Depending on the store ponies range from 12-16.50 before tax, TRU is 14.99, HT 16.50, B&N 12.50..and I'm not sure about Wal-Mart in-store. Hot Topics has even increased the price on the up coming Ponies to 18.50 before tax. As the last person to send Becky a Pony, she did not pay $30 however, her $30 assessment IMO is a fair one based on the factors she used to arrive at that price.

Oh. I'm not trying to start anything with anyone I just don't want to pay over 30. And that's my final price. Like I said I realize they are going for way more I've checked every site I can. I've had luck with all of the ones I have and those are the last three I'm looking for.

Re: Still trying to locate glitters Twilight, Lyra, Octavia.
I don't think you're going to find them for 30 dollars.
I almost won an auction with Twilight, she ended up going for 50 +7.99 shipping, Lyra is normally around $50 USD and Octavia I've only seen between 50-80.
So if 30 is your absolute final price, I hope there's some really generous person willing to find it for you, because the ones people buy for selling purposes won't be near that.

Re: Still trying to locate glitters Twilight, Lyra, Octavia.
I think some glitters are harder to find then others. Right now twilight is still pretty hot, which is why she's going for more on ebay. For some reason I feel like Octavia and Lyra were less plentiful (pinkie pie too). Or maybe they are just more popular and people aren't willing to give them up. But if people aren't selling them there are less out there.

Dorian is correct in every statement here. I definitely was speaking in general terms, and since he was the last person to send me a glitter pony he knows I didn't pay $30 for it
I have before however, and I wouldn't ever question it. If a funatic tells me that $35 was "cost" for one, I would believe it without second guessing based on what I said before about gas money and shipping prices fluctuating. And even if B&N is currently selling them at $12.50, they can always do a corporate mark-up to whatever price they want at any time.
