So why hasn't Funko jumped on the Squishmallow Bandwagon?
I mean...they are super popular, Funko has the ability to make plush items, and they have a lot of licenses that would be fun for them to do. I know I would love a huge Freddy head pillow with crown. They could even call them Pillowz...

Those things are very popular and Freddy would be epic as one. I could see them doing a Freddy for the holiday season if they jump on board.

I think the closest we got was that one Freddy plush. But I wouldn't mind an even cuter one

Everytime Funko brought out Plushies they ended up on clearance. Mopeez really were the best(to me) and I didn’t see much chatter about them. I’m afraid any squishmellow or future plush type thing would just do poorly again.

I really liked mopeez, another of my favorite lines that bit the dust.
I agree with you it does seem like a lot of the plus has/do shelf sit. I see it now with the food ones, I keep thinking I should pick one of the foods up for kitchen decor but I just don’t like the feel.

My daughter’s obsession with these are off the chain. Her favorite are the Axolotl’s. She has so many in different sizes and colors. I’m thinking, what am I going to do with them all when she’s over this faze and becomes interested in the new next thing. Have to admit though, they’re super soft and I like squeezing them.

I collect the Disney Wishables. Wouldn't mind something like that. They are small and softy squishies. It can get out of hand, though.

I’d die for a Freddy pillow, we collect Squishmallows; not as much as Funko…but we have a fair share of random ones & this would be a double edge sword for collecting haha

That would be pretty cool, I’d like to see the concept and how’d they turn the big head funko into an only head squish

But they are so soft they make for comfy throw pillows, I have squish for all holidays…. And a few for my cats
If they did colab would we get squishmellows of funko characters or pops of squishmellows characters, which way would the pendulum swing.

Re: So why hasn't Funko jumped on the Squishmallow Bandwagon?
Ok I may own a couple of larger size Squish's and I have to say they are the softest things ever!! They do also take up quite a bit of space either on the bed or the couch so if Funko did this...I would have to be super selective on what I pick up! I already have to make more room as always for new Pops so I guess this would be the same. A room full of Funko Squishmallows could be pretty comfy tho!!

A week ago Sunday, I took
My daughter to a squishmallow drop at 5 below
It was exactly like a Funko drop at a Hot Topic, etc. Lots of obvious scalpers and the rare squishmallows were gone in minutes. Luckily, my daughter scored both the big foots (feets?) she was after! I guess these are much bigger than I thought. Even Ty is making their own squish like line.

They really are. Right now, cows, axolotls, big foot are the hottest to get and there are so many sizes. Costco occasionally sells them and one squishmallow practically fills up their huge carts!

My daughter loves Squishmallows, she has like 20 of them. Every time we go to Costco she wants to look and see if there are any new ones. I would be all over some Funko Squimallows.

They have some now that are 36 inches! I ordered the elephant one online and I didn’t think it would be as big as it is. I love it.

I honestly can’t get over how many scalpers there are for squishmallows. I have a 5 below near my house and I’ve seen 20+ people in line before the doors even open. Oh and yeah the 36” ones from Costco are insanely huge! I had no idea what I was in for when I ordered one online haha

Is that what the squishmallows are for pillows? Yeah funko would make a ton of cute ones and then with all of the different licenses they have disguise the limit.

Re: So why hasn't Funko jumped on the Squishmallow Bandwagon?
Fans of Squishmallows are just as passionate and enthusiastic as Funko fans. I think it's quite healthy that these remain separate companies. Perhaps to much passion under one roof can create issues -- especially around convention time. Could you imagine a booth that dealt with Pops, Soda, Mondo, and then throw on top of that Squishmallows, haha!
