So why hasn't Funko jumped on the Squishmallow Bandwagon?

I doubt Funko would make a Squishmallow like product at this point. I don’t think they’re as hot as they used to be.

These 3 pcs were Funko Shop exclusives. The regular plush and OG Mega Plush were Funko Shop Exclusives I believe around year 2017. The Santa Freddy Mega Plush was a 12 Days of Christmas Funko Shop Exclusive as well - believe on the same year.

If Funko wants to dabble into the plush market, I would hope it is unique somehow, and not just a regular ole plush. Squishmallows has that unique feel to it, so they got that going, but it's always going to come down to marketing, oh.. and Funko not going into other types of licensing issues. Pretty sure that's why it's been Freddy plushes.

i have not seen these before but i dont live close enough to hollywood or hq to go to the store to see these. i know they made some plushes in conjunction with some IPs like FNAF. i know i got a few of those that they released. they were smaller ones but they were cool. i am sure more are coming with the plushie market the way it is. i think it is an opportunity missed if they do not. they might start small or just go all in. who knows with Funko.

Didn't realize how truly popular they are, until last SDCC. The line was crazy long and I won a 9:30 time slot from one of the guys on the floor. Both Squish mallow SDCC exclusives were sold out! :O

Right! We had a 10am Jazawares slot and all but 1 of the Squishmallows had sold out that a friend wanted. They are stupidly popular.

my GF can't get enough Squishmelllows yet is indifferent to funko. If they made the jump to that style plushie they'd instantly gain a new collector market.
