I was so disappointed there wasn’t a trivia tryout section last year , I know the main games are rigged so every team gets a prize so it couldn’t have been one of the main events but having a section for a proto prize or something would’ve been great

Trivia would have been great! I'm still mad about the last contest not being run fairly, our team just missed winning out

Haven’t quite figured that one out, the robos getting Optimus had me thinking they had it planned from the start but none of the other team prizes were themed so I have no clue.

I didnt make it last year but the tiki ones seemed to be based on cheers. Hopefully I can make it this year.

I want to see some Star Wars GITD Freddy's. Luke, Vader, Fett, Obi-Wan,......Any of those would be great. Okay, maybe that's a list for Funday's. How about rides showcasing the Wookie vehicles from the battle at Kashyyyk or the battle droids and their vehicles. You can also make other characters from Star Wars like Shmi Skywalker, Captain Panaka, young Boba Fett, Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru.......

if you get the chance, you should also get preview night. it's nice to be able to get on the exhibit floor without the entire sdcc crowd there.

Has the new location be finalized? I know during Fundays it was discussed - just wasn't sure if that solidified. It was outside at the auditorium that had the DBZ concert, right?

It was said during this year's event that Fundays 2023 would be held at the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, more info on the venue here: https://www.theshell.org/about/venue/

The typical head count in the Machester's Seaport ballroom has been around 2,000 over the last several years, I'd be willing to bet that the ticket count will be way higher next year. Hopefully that means more Funatics will get to experience the energy of Fundays!

Yeah, I was there when it was announced but it sounded like it was still up in the air. I believe Mike said it'd be closer to 10,000 people if they locked in the new venue - I merely wanted to know if that was set in stone already.

I feel bad for this years party patrol. 2,000 people was hard enough do deal with, 10,000 people is going to be crazy . I can't wait.

Spiderverse, Indiana Jones, and The Flash movies will have just released in June - would be a good time for tie-ins to those big franchises. Or if they look ahead - Blue Beetle, Dune, The Marvels, and Aquaman all seem like good bets.

What else made peterpan great at wondercon was it was free, The crazy part was I worked my but off to get the attention of the funko guy giving out 25 winning prizes for making the most noise at the panel. What did I win, 15 dollar mini pops and the better give away was for everyone.

You will have an excellent time , just dont rely on winning tickets to the funko booth through the lottery. You will probably have more luck waiting in a stand by line, Actually you are probably more guaranteed to get into fundays this year over everything else. This year fundays is going to be by the water outside where they have the concerts , its huge, which probably means with this many people attending it instead of a ballroom means good luck on protos.
