I still buy commons for new lines that I really really love, like NBA and DBZ. But as many have said, trying to consolidate and focus my collection

Aren't they all common? Even con pops seem to have so many.
Really, I'd collect more common's if there was more connection between them, con exclusives and rare numbered pops.

Yes, unfortunately I've cut down a lot since there's just no space in my apartment anymore but I will still buy regular Pokemon. I would buy any Wonder Woman although the last one was a Target exclusive.

Not yet. I’m slowly getting the ones I have signed
Nice... Good luck that would be an awesome collection
Thanks! I’m definitely going to need it. It sucks most of the actors from the early season never sign at bigger conventions

Re: Anyone buy commons any more?
I still think lots of people buys commons. People may think that others don't cause they see the same commons sitting on the shelf every time they go to target or Walmart.
To me those are the lines that Funko over produced on and chose wrong for lack of better words.
It's the popular lines, like Anime or horror that I never see lasting on the shelves.
What I do see constantly is the 8bit or the chocolate or the 8th variants of the same exact mold.
TL:DR yes I still buy commons.

I just wish they would give us points for shopping at the physical store or conventions, be able to get a lot more points that way
We all miss store points. They need to bring it back
Interesting, I never knew Funko had an in store point system.

Heck if I lived close to both stores, I’d miss the point system tremendously

Commons are definitely still being bought in my house. I think that if it’s in the line you collect and it’s something that completes the collection then it’s getting snatched up regardless if it has a sticker or not.
Love to Collect the 80s stuff. Also chasing the OG Rocky Set. First Funko Purchase was 2012 SDCC.

Absolutely. There are so many lines that I collect that I just couldn't ignore the commons. Like I collect Aurora and Maleficent. With all the Sleeping Beauty ones coming out, absolute purchase to compliment that line.

I had tried to collect all of the dancing baby Groot in the pot pops. Even the common one. The common one actually started that collection for me.

My kids still buy commons if it's a line that they like. They're almost done with all of the Hamilton Pops.

We'll get there. If anything we can encourage each other to keep going after the collections.

I feel like I need to be more specific in what I buy due to space but if we got a one tree hill or charmed line I’d immediately buy the whole line

It depends on the line and if I am missing gaps for specific lines/themes in my collection.

What lines or themes are you focused on collecting right now and do they include common pops?

Like a lot of others have mentioned, I still get commons for the series I'm really into but other than that, it's all exclusives in my collection.

Same! I personally like Flocked/Metallic/GITD of pops, but if the price point well exceeds my budget, I don't mind opting for the common version and call it a day

Or have other collectors started to only buy stickered, exclusive, Con related, specialty, etc...?
It is rare that I see a common pop! that I feel like I need to add to my collection. I feel like I have to be extra choosey because I just don't have that much space anymore.
Anyone else feel the same way? Am I missing out on something?
I guess that I do, usually it's from the funko shop. When there's a possibility of getting a chase. My luck is not the best so I end up with a common. Space is always an issue, my sons room is full of pops and so is my game room. Our garage and shed is over flowing with pop bins. The pop addiction is a real problem in our house.

I love getting the exclusives and stickers, but that being said, I am a Star Wars collector and if I see a really cool common Pop, I will definitely grab it. But yeah, the amount of pop bins can get out of hand, . Ah, the life of a collector.

Re: Anyone buy commons any more?
For sure, those exclusive stickers I started collecting those at sdcc 2014. I always wonder what would have happened with funko is they never had began selling the shared con exclusive pops. Would they be as popular or not? On a business stand point of view I totally understand. As a collector my thoughts are that it kind of takes away from the rarity of a con pop.

Yeah, I typically enjoy getting the con sticker, as it is like the thrill of the hunt. I would love them to have more limited count pieces at the cons though, not shared, but I totally get that they need to sell a lot of units. Are you heading to SDCC this year?

If they don't sell shared then I would think con exclusives will be so popular but that is not how business work

I still do buy commons but can understand once space becomes an issue that I will have to be more selective with my purchases and collection.

That’s a tough line to collect all of. When I started collecting, I wanted to get all of the Star Wars and then realized I was too poor to get them all.

Lately I've also been getting commons for custom date night where my gurl and I take a common and try to customize it as much as possible during the night.
