DC Chase opinion

Postby JoshRJV77 » Sun Feb 26, 2012 11:30 pm

So just a hypothetical question, with the prices of Pop chase going up so much, how much do you think a full set of 10 DC Chase pieces would go for? Now im not suggesting that im looking to sell, just curious what everyone thinks! would i be crazy to think possibly $1000+ of course assuming theres a buyer out there! I know most people only need one or two! What do you think?

Depends on who's interested, I'm guessing there might be someone out on Ebay that would do that. I'd hope no one here would pay that much for a set of 10 chases.

A set of 10 chases... that would be wow... and I am sure someone would pay for a whole set... might take some time to sell though.

I'd like to see that sell ;) I'd be interested to see if it sold. You never know. I mean, someone out there spent $500 for 1 item. Apparently there are people out there with a collector itch and money

Josh put them up to see what they may go for then just take them down.

IMO, I be surprised to see it go for $1000 for all 10. I would venture $600-$700 for a new buyer that wants it altogether.

Same here, If I wanted to put together a set myself I would look for them individually, but I suppose if someone had the dough they would get them in one shot.

In my experience, I've had better luck selling items like this individually than as a set. Whole sets limit the numbers of buyers, and if you're pricing is wrong...

600-700 is probably a better price point, too.

Josh I would list them separately if you plan on selling, because each piece will start a bidding war, where as if you list them all as 1, it will rule out a bunch of bidders once it got out of their price range.

DC Chase opinion

Haha! Just to clear up everyone, I'm NOT looking to sell, not right now at least! I love my chase guys! This was more just a curiosity question! But there's some good points! It would be wiser to sell separately of someone wanted to sell!

To agree with what's been said, almost always individual items go for more than a lot of them put together. The only exception to that is when it's something that's just out there and someone impatiently buys it. I think the recent example of the SDCC clamshell lot of 4 that went for $400 is a good sign of that as you wouldn't get $100 each out of all of those items individually (IMO).

I bet selling the Ugly Dolls set of chases would work though.

That's probably true. Haven't seen many chases around, but it could be too early to tell.

That one I could see working. I haven't seen any of these anywhere other than online.
