To POP! Or Not To POP!

Postby Justicewarrior88 » Fri Apr 13, 2012 3:24 pm

That is the question...

I have mainly been looking at Wobblers and was only planning on collecting them, but since my time one the forum I have starting checking out all the differnt POP!'s, I think I have already made up my mind, in fact I don't think I really have a choice... I think I "need" some POP's!

So now the questions is... Which ones should I start with? Any suggestions?

Maybe Stat Wars, most of the series is still pretty easy to get, Disney has so much, be a lot to catch up on. I suppose it's what you are interested in most.

I was just at one last night, they seriously stepped up their Pop! game in store, saw a bunch of Disney, avengers, ugly dolls, and some DC including the yellow circle batman.

What Ron said, go to B&N, sign up for their membership and just buy what you like. Go on their website too.

I personally only have the Marvel series and the Batman line up, didn't really jump on the variant bandwagon though.

if you want to complete a series really quickly... halo. there's only 2 pops. you could also do the new avengers pops, since it's only 5 characters and they're all available at many places. but since the numbering is with marvel pops, finishing the set would mean getting a loki for a crazy price.

but yeah, i'll agree with everyone else in saying that B&N is the best place to start. you could easily pick up at least 10 different characters at almost any location, including some harder to find ones -- han solo, penguin, riddler, original thor -- if you're lucky.

Check out Gemini, he sells the sets and discounts the whole set.

To POP! Or Not To POP!

Postby cliffd64 » Mon Apr 16, 2012 2:06 pm

The practice I have tried to stick to regarding Pop!s is somewhat simple...

Currently as far as Pops go, I limit myself to chase pieces, exclusives, and sets that I really really connect with.

So yes, this means I do not have a regular batman, but i do have the chase batman, comic con batman , NYCC batman etc.

Just don't have the space to be a completist :D

Exactly.... Just pick up anything on sale, anything thats a good deal to start then worry about filling whatever holes you have, I would suggest hitting all of your Disney Stores right now because they still have some Series 1 and Series 2 on clearance for $6.99, and have coupons every once in a while, but even still $6.99 is a very good deal to pick up locally without worrying about shipping costs
