I got the greatest new job ever but my commute went from 6 miles per day to 120 miles per day. I never realized how much time was wasted in driving long distances. Needless to say, by the time I get home, I barely have time to put things together before I have to go to bed and get up early the next day.

I'm trying to figure out the train system in the hopes that I save some money and the lack of traffic will save my car and my humanity hahaha.

I can't wait to see you guys at Comic con and hopefully fun days. Miss you all!

I work 4 miles from my job... I don't even have to hop on the freeway...

Thanks! Yah, I'm getting paid a lot more, better benefits and the employee morale is amazingly high. The biotech field has become pretty unstable and it's hard to find a job where you're not doing the work 2 levels above yah without the pay =/. Employers are frankly ripping off workers because they can. This please seems like the opposite. It is too far but the pros out weigh the cons. It'll be worth it in the long run.

I'm going to try the train tomorrow. It adds a half hour to the commute each way but at least I wont kill my car and waste money on gas. I'll let you all know how it goes!

I am in the same boat as you I travel about the same but I am showing my boss I can manage a promotion possibly being offered and went from working 9hrs/day to 11 and then get home and work and it was made me spottie on here too which is sad for me. Congrats on the new job though!
