Does anyone know where the standby line is?

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think it was against the back wall in the Funko area last year. At C2E2 it was out in the area where you line up in the morning, but Funko wasn't running that line, it was the con doing it.

Indeed, In previous years that’s where it’s been, it is capped nearly immediately at Doors Open and they are usually served around 4pm with minimal stocked items. It’s a bit of a venture unfortunately and the only place on the floor I have ever seen attendees waiting in chairs they brought.

Just as a PSA for us all, remember to be kind as possible to everyone from attendees to employees. It’s a very stressful situation when the floor opens and Funkoville helpers can only do so much!

Mike Becker announcing he's leaving Funko makes me extra want to get into the SDCC booth this year!! I know this isn't technically the first time, but it's so hard to imagine Funko without him He totally deserves the rest, and I hope we get to send him off well at SDCC!

I'm betting he's going to go help Brian, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's always involved in Funko in one way or another. Like coming back for SDCC, if nothing else but to host Fundays.

Since I didn't get picked in the portal or picked here for PN, my want list is now only the deluxe 001 Pop. It might sound odd, but I don't like to get shared stickers for cons I attend.

You don't have to wait, you can see if you won anything in the portal. It's the last option in the left hand sidebar.

You can do the stand by line but it forms in the morning and you aren't let in until around 4, so you spend an entire con day in the line. I don't think it's worth it, and all of the in demand items will be gone by then.

Yeah that's a total waste of time for a sticker. Damn that sucks used all my portal entries on the booth with no luck.

I was so sad too and I'm hoplding out that same hope. It's weird, the first time they were announced I was like, eh, then saw him and had to have him and I have collected them ever since. LOL

I picked up the Wicked Witch at our Walgreens last night and I love her so much! I have the original one from years ago, in fact, she was my first ever pop, so I am stoked to have this one to sit with her. I didn't care about the sticker, I just really had to have her in my collection.

Ya a lot will be sold out come afternoon. Standby line forms in morning & then they’ll cap that. Once they start letting standby in, they’ll keep people moving in area from joining line & then they’ll pick a few people at a time to join the line

Congrats to your brother!! I was trying to get in for Friday at 11 but wasn’t as lucky haha. I’m bummed that I won’t be able to get into the booth and have a chance at that Diamond Thrawn but I’m still gonna try to make the best of my first SDCC

It's not worth it at all unless that's all you want to do and that was your purpose for the con. I rather not waste time and really take in what the con has to offer, especially if you're traveling from far away!

All we managed was UCC for Friday but not sure we’ll even use it. I got Fundays to attend Friday evening and I’m not going to be stuck in a UCC line .

4 of us going, my wife, 2 adult kids and I. 48 tickets entered into to Thursday drawing and nothing. Missed out again this year but not going to waste time trying to stand in the stand by line. If anyone wants something from UCC hit me up if you have a spot in Funko. I’d be willing to make purchases from UCC in exchange for a few pops from Funko of equal value.

That's what I notice, usually when someone win's they win hard, like multiple exhibitors or slots on different days. Sometimes I wonder how fair it really is and much opportunity is really provided to everyone. However, this is still better than doing it like a queue because others (coding savvy) will be able to jump the queue and there'll be no chance for anyone.

At least you're fortunate you have a friend that got early slots, you can simply ask your friend to pick up the ones you're interested in but your friend isn't. Is your friend going to grab everything? ol did you already ask?
