Unfortunately, I agree. I don't like the lottery system personally because I feel it's strictly based on luck. I much rather rely on skill or determination (waiting in line for hours before anyone else) but it's harder to cheat the system with the lottery system and unfortunately there is a lot of cheating and issues with the straight forward first-come first-serve process.

Circling the FUNimation booth, circling the Funko booth...blue circle in SDCC waiting room for tickets. Yikes, I sense a theme. I'm grateful for Funko helping out Funatics with Fundays tickets so not everything is a grind

The lines can only get so big until the booth staff cap them and don't let people in. What that means is everyone else needs to circle around the booth until the line opens back up and a few people get into the line before it's closed again. It quickly becomes a mob/disaster

Yamcha was the first link I clicked so I got Yamcha. I think I saw people on twitter saying Broly sold out within three minutes so I had no chance there But I was lucky and ended up getting Broly a couple months ago

I remember at one point there was a real sense of urgency to get dbz exclusives because if you didnt get them when they first dropped you may never see them again. Nowadays i feel like if you miss it ... no biggie because it will intermittently restock for the next 6 months if not longer
