Yes they did. With our group, last year MGH happened to be available and I notified everyone. We all got hotels booked which we were able to keep thru the hotel sale and up until the con. When we did the hotel sale, the majority of us got rooms and then let those rooms go or transferred to other friends who needed. We have done the same this year but we didn't get the MGH this time. We booked as soon as the con was over. Have your group do the same. Get some non-refundable if possible as close as your group wants to the convention. Then let's all hope we land rooms.

Stay away from AirBnB this year. My booking (which I made days after last year's convention) got canceled cause of new rules in SD where people need to have expensive permits. There is nothing available for a cheap rate this time, which stinks. I am excited though to try and stay at a hotel close to downtown, it should be a different type of experience.

That is great. One of my friends was out in SD for a few years so we got to stay at his apartment. He has moved back east at this point.

My aunt used to live in Del Mar and we'd stay with her. That was amazing, for a multitude of reasons.

I love to see any Batman funkos and simpsons. I have been loving how they have changed the molds and also brought out other main characters for the lines. I love how we got all the bullies this year. Maybe next year we will get the nerds lol
