I've purchased pops I already had a few times but I usually turn them around and give them away on our channel!

That’s crazy this has never happened and I have over 800 pops but sometimes depending on the company I usually buy 2 of the same pop to protect 1

The Pop purchase that spawned this topic was Freddy Tennis Player, from last year's Box of Fun!

I think I was in a frenzy searching Ebay for some of the latest BOF pops and I ran across one of my saved searches for Tennis Freddy from last year. I saw the price had gotten so low that I was like "smash that buy button" and before that confirmation email showed up, I was already on my Funko App to add this to "My Collection" when I saw that blue crown all lit up! I thought about trying to cancel the ebay purchase, but I didnt want to do that to someone.

Tennis Freddy is the perfect crossover of my favorite Hobby and favorite Sport. So why not have two of them. Maybe I'll take the new one OOB and display him prominently somewhere!

So my funko app is super off now because I did a bulk sale to a store 2 ish years ago to get rid of my unwanted stuff from the bazillion mystery boxes I used to buy. I need to delete everything off my funko app and re-add what’s currently in my collection. I just did an inventory today using hobbyDB solely because they have a scanner function… it still took me all day because I still have 600+ pops…

Sorry for the sidetrack story but definitely accidentally bought what I already have but mainly due to the above problem of not keeping up with tracking inventory etc. forgetting I already bought etc.

I recently discovered that I did the opposite. For the past few years I thought I had the complete TMNT set (regular non-exclusives) and just recently found out that I'm missing the Foot Soldier. Maybe I subconsciously blocked it out because I was disappointed one Christmas that I got a Foot Soldier action figure instead of one of the main turtles.

When I first started collecting, I did that all the time - buy 2 - take one out of the box and keep the other in the box all minty!

Now I just don't have the space to do that anymore !! Only do it for rare occasions!

Same thing here, I have ordered something and then completely forgotten about it and ordered somewhere else. It wasn’t until the shipping notices showed up that I realized it. I did download the Shop app though and that helps keep track.

Yes! Too many time to even keep track and it’s worse when you have a partner that collects as well because sometimes we don’t communicate what we get and then end up with triples at times. I think this trend with long preorders has made this even harder to avoid. I’m not sure about anyone else hot topic account for example but it doesn’t seem to show all my orders so I can’t even verify. I always say I rather be safe and order something even if it could be a double than not and forget about it until it’s price goes up unexpectedly and then I’m left there like what did I do
