If there’s a helmet that you can’t tell what the face looks like, maybe they can get away with just saying “Maverick” on the pop ride since it can’t resemble Tom Cruise for it to be acceptable

I hear you. I'm still dealing with the same. Have 4 boys with my youngest 2 twins being 4. I wouldn't consider bringing them to the movies to see it. I did bring them to Toy Story 4. They did pretty good. But that was a kids movie. Good luck!

Probably one of the only franchises where they could not include the main character and they would still sell. Goose and iceman would be easy grabs. Mattel did get the top gun license for product though which is supposed to start showing up this year. Cant imagine they paid the money for it without being able to make maverick figures

With the sequel coming out this year you think that it's revival will warrant a demand for the original movie POP treatment. You can even do a movie moment set with the volleyball scene.

The only problem is Tom Cruise doesn't like products made of his likeness, at least that's the story I've heard ever since the Mummy Pop! fiasco. Still, I wouldn't mind an Iceman Pop!
