Hi everyone,

I have to admit this is my favorite topic to browse through. Seeing all these fantastic collections keeps me inspired and makes me believe I'm not alone in the world with my crazy funko obsession! lol

Just finished up 2 display cases for my regular Pops! My goal with these Ikea displays were to fit 100 in each and I JUST pulled it off \:D/

Next is to work on proper lighting and figuring out what to do with my exclusives. For now they are boxes and in the protector cases that fugitive toys sells.

Keep up the great work guys!

Great tutorial. I created a thread on this forum about 2 years ago with a similar tutorial but it seems like it was purged. I created a tutorial not too long ago but I only shared it with the FB groups and through my IG page (since I thought my old tutorial was still here). Heres the link:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/94757958/BYOR.pdf

I am not trying to take anything from yours, I just think it will be nice for people to have multiple options and methods and can possibly combine ideas or even get new ideas on how to make the process easier/faster. Mine is a bit more reading since I tried to be as detailed as I could while still making it simple. I have made about 20+ of this risers and after alot of trial and error, I felt liek this was probably the best way to do it.

I must give xmaldigolax credit. His technique with the foam board is what I used. It was a brilliant idea and keeps the cost to a minimum. I just altered the dimensions a bit narrower to fit an extra row.

Here's a template with dimensions if you're looking to squeeze in the extra shelf. I got it all done with just 4 of the 30" x 40" foam boards from Staples. A couple of fresh razorblades and a LOT of patience. It took trial and error on the first piece to get the stack to sit firmly and not wobble, but once I cut out a perfect template of each piece the rest followed pretty smoothly.

In hindsight, the only dimension worth tweaking is the rise of the first step. Instead of 3.25", I should have measured something like 2.8" and adjusted the rest of the step heights to match.

Thanks again, Alex. Without your instructions I would have paid hundreds for custom acrylic shelves. Instead it cost me about 40 dollars!

I finally had to take my Legacy Collection Daenerys out of her box to make room for 2 new Pops on my Game of Thrones shelf. Here's a before and after of that shelf.

Before:
GoTshelf.jpg

After adding Ghost and Tyrion:
GoTshelf2.jpg

I think I'll eventually have to dedicate more than one shelf to GoT though because there's so many of those.

I purchased 4 foam boards 30"x40" from my local Staples to create the shelves. I posted the template dimensions and a picture of the finished piece for ya. ;-)

Also, I do recommend reading Alex's tutorial. He explains the process more thoroughly. And he's got it set up nearly perfect for a four tier setup. The only problem I came across was making the total width of the shelves at 15". I couldn't slide it in the display case. I adjusted the total width at 14-1/8" and it fit like a glove.

And then re-orged my BBT POPs and wobblers. No room for my BBT minis on this shelf though. Need to think about those.
