Which Pops Do You Regret Not Buying?

One of my regrets presented itself yesterday as an opportunity, and I bought it! The box is a big more thrashed than I'd have liked, but I have the pop, and thanks to the condition, I got it for a more than fair price. Such a good feeling to take it off my wish list, and add it to my collection! Keep the faith alive, everyone, there's always a chance!

And what may that newly acquired pop be?

Agent Coulson with Lola (his car) from Agents of Shield. Can't even recall how many times I saw him at HT, and thought "eh, I don't need that". But I definitely need that, and wish I'd gotten him mint (or at least dings of my choosing) back then! Glad he's here now though, and the box is less important than the pop!

I rarely regret things, but lately the Target exc Eddie from ST4. I saw him in stores before the show dropped and now he’s impossible to find.

Dumbo in his clown make up from SDCC back in the day. I remember the days when there was almost no body at the Funko booth but I didn't have much suitcase space or cash so decisions had to be made.

For me it's my stitch pops. There are a few stitch pops I find questionable but overall I end up falling in love with them. There are times I wish stitch wouldn't have gotten so popular. Lol

The Bugs Jeckle and Hyde. I was working a booth and couldn't leave to go to the pop up so I had my friend geared up to purchase. Well he proceeded to get drunk and never made it over there. I'm still a tad bitter.

Although I currently own them, I regretted not buying the Original
Simpsons line when I first saw them. My lady persuaded me to buy another Simpsons item instead. For days/months/years I regretted not purchasing them at face value. But prior to 2022. I saved up and went in the hunt for them. It was fun but also a slight struggle trying to find them in the best condition.

PopCultcha has him up for pre-order so there is a chance that Target will restock. ST is my main line so I hunted for all the new Pops immediately and I am so happy I did. The hardest one to find was actually Will, believe it or not.

Also a description of our history as collectors? It's so nice though when we have a success story. I get as excited for someone else finding and bringing home a missed opportunity as I do when it happens for me!

Yes, agreed! I get so excited when I see older Disney pops....and then less excited when I see what they're going for. I think they're probably not meant to be, but some of them are so fabulous looking, it's hard not to dream!

I had wanted NYCC Qui Gon Jinn for the longest time as I was an avid Star Wars fan but opted for a metallic Dr. Doom as the mold was super awesome. Fugitive Toys had Qui Gon up for $300 at the time; which is ridiculously low compared to what it is now. I was thinking to myself, I'll save up and get it next year. Sure enough, he skyrocketed and now looks more and more out of my reach. He's still a grail for me and will eventually be in my hands, just not anytime soon.

I have a bunch of Deadpool pops, and every once in a while, I check ebay for older ones. I had the black and white (GID) in my cart for a couple hundred dollars, but I felt it was too expensive - oh boy, should have bought it - listed at $ 820 now.....oof

A friend on mine managed to get in the booth that year so I got Qui Gon for retail. It's the last Pop I would ever part with, it really has a lot of sentimental value for me. Hopefully you can get one some day.

For me, I regret skipping Hero Killer Stain from MHA. I loved the Pop but decided to go to the store at lunch instead of line up in the morning, and of course he was gone forever.

Been seeing ads from Funimation about Flocked Chopper and everytime i try to check it out and order i always says hmmm maybe later and kept doing it untill funimation shut it down and removed it. I was still able to buy a little closer to retail but still one of the bad decision i made.

In the Summer of 2012 I went in to a comic book store in Glasgow, it was the first time I’d ever seen Pops & was surprised they’d taken over a few shelves in the shop.

I picked up what I now know was an SDCC 480pc blue Cheshire Cat. I showed it to my girlfriend and laughed “who would want a blue Cheshire Cat? These things are stupid, I wouldn’t take this off them for nothing.

Same, or even when they were at retail. When I bought my first POP! figures, I was on vacation and there was no such thing as protectors/stacks/armor. Fortunately, they didn't get damaged much/at all when I brought them back home.

Oh the emotional damage from seeing all the POPs I missed out on back in the day, esp considering how much I spent later on to add them in my collection.
