Which Pops Do You Regret Not Buying?

: oh my gosh this always creeps up on me because there is just so many! that whole I'll get it later mentality and not paying attention to stuff going up got me more than I like. One of the biggest regrets though is passing up on PA vegeta when I first started because it was crazy to pay more than 50 or so and I was definitely not going to pay more than $200 on "just a toy"

Now that will forever be out of my reach at it's current price.

LOL . Sure wish a proto had been thrown at me when I walked by...!! Of course, I likely would have assumed they were just throwing away some unfinished or error figure.

Pretty much what we all thought LOL!

Perhaps they should revisit an old trend... would love to walk by the funko booth now and have a proto thrown my way!! of course might be a bit dangerous.

Not even solely price related, the supply is so limited when compared to the large number of collectors after them.

There have been a few times over the years that myself or a friend picked up a pop from the SDCC booth (a pop that we didn’t personally care about) as a favor for someone, only to have them back out. The pops always found homes in the end, but I remember being annoyed at possibly getting stuck with pops I didn’t care about. The irony is that most of those pops are now worth a fair amount of money Not quite a regret, but I get a chuckle at my own expense when I see them mentioned as someone’s grail.

I regret I never picked up Ace the Bat Hound POP when it wasn’t super expensive. My wife has helped rescue and rehome German Shepherds for many years and that POP should have been a day 1 purchase but I was a newbie and missed it when it went up. Gonna have to keep my eyes open on the secondary market for a deal!

A lot, I didn't get into Funko until 2017 some time. For years prior to that my local Hasting's (RIP) used to have a massive wall of pops and I think back at some of the ones that I glanced at during that time and never bought...I could kick myself.

Whatever I saw at Golden Age Collectibles and the EMP (now MoPOP) gift shop in Seattle back in the day. Some of the Michael Jackson variants, probably The Notorious B.I.G. I know my partner bought Smooth Criminal Michael Jackson and Gizmo that day, and I bought Tupac and Disney Series 2 Boo during that trip. There were others we saw at Golden Age later on that we saw during later trips to Seattle and I'd say to myself, "Oh, I'll pick that up another day" but never did -- like the Karate Kid set and some of the original MLB mascots.

My husband and I said this often when we first got into this fandom. Man for some of our grails, we’ve spent a pretty penny, way more than the $20/$30 we wish we would have spent to get them in the first place. Lol

I wish I had all the Freddy that was at SDCC in the earlier years when not a lot of people were collecting them.
