Well that bring up the question, how many of those there?

They had four in their display, though there might be more. There was Jake the Snake, Brittany Spears, Steve Irwin, and a character from American Horror Story. I would think there would be a Harry Potter one too, but I am not sure.

That is awesome! Are there any particular characters they haven't made yet that you would like to see?

I feel like over the last couple years I slimmed down my collection a lot and that led to me going after various pops from different lines that glow really well in the dark. It could be from a show/movie/anime that I haven't seen but if it glows really well then I have to get it and throw it in my GITD case. Examples being elvira chase, adam bomb chase, venomized dr doom chase, rey mysterio gitd, and phantom shadow glow. all of them being from vastly different areas of pop culture but they all glow so nice lol

I had to make a change and be alot more specific about 2 years ago. Was up to 3500+ pops and was running out of room. Went through the collection and purged about 2000 pops. Best part about it was time to buy more specific pops I was missing from different groups. Specifically now Bone Daddy, El Diablo, Freddy, Marvel, Mickey Mouse, Star Wars and after that only what really is special to me. Wacky Wobblers and Sodas are also really cool!

I'm seriously considering paring down my collection. Keeping super specific themed Pops may be the way to go! Interesting.

I feel like my collecting style is pretty basic compared to some of these, I just like to have one version of all the characters I like. No GITD, metallic, flocked. Just my favourite version of each Pop, I've sold quite a few rare Pops because I prefer the most recent sculpt.

Can't blame you there. I used to only keep on version of some things and ended up selling off my OG versions of the Wolfman and Creature from the Black Lagoon. I've ended up rebuying them because I really like them.

It's totally an arbitrary set of criteria, but I love it and I have so many people who have pointed out the new Godfather and Lightyear Pops coming that fit the bill. I think I have them all (except that darn Analyst from the Matrix that I can't seem to find), but it is fun to hunt them down (and why there is no Sally from NBC holding a cat, I have no clue).

So...anyone else have a very niche and highly arbitrary collection?

That is very very specific. I have no self control on Pops so I dont think I could even come up with one that detailed.

Oh...I collect plenty of other Funko stuff too, but if it is holding a cat, I pick it up regardless of the line or license.

I think I’m about to do this as well. I have a huge collection 1000+ and it’s just too many at this point. It’s hard to decide what to keep. I just don’t know how to start doing this.

If thinking of doing it just start separating and if you have any attachment don't sell it. Before you know it you will be done.

I hope they do find good homes. Whenever I have not kept something that someone helped me with, I have made it a point to give them the option of having it back at what I paid. It's good karma.

Might be a way to look at it. I always get sad when people talk about pairing down their collections. It's sad to me. LOL

It's definitely not an easy decision to make. I like to think that I'll be re-homing them. At least that's what I keep telling myself. Lol!

I hope they do find good homes. Whenever I have not kept something that someone helped me with, I have made it a point to give them the option of having it back at what I paid. It's good karma.
