Chip 'n' Dale: Rescue Rangers - New Film Pops

Anyone see the new trailer for Rescue Rangers and wonder if there's gonna be new pops from it?! Seems like a whole cast of new version of classic Disney characters to pick from.

Given the relationship between Funko and Disney I’m willing to go out on a limb and say yes, we’ll see movie merch lol

I saw the trailer, looks good! We tend to always get pops when a Disney movie is released. I don’t see why there wouldn’t be pops for this movie also. Glad that it’ll be on Disney +

Even though I still don’t how I feel about this movie, I wouldn’t mind seeing some Pops! get made.

the new trailer looks awful, i guess i'm in the minority but i hate this trend of undermining an existing franchise just to make a whacky reboot that "subverts expectations". just come up with your own friggin ideas instead of degrading the ones that came before. if we get pops of this abomination before we ever get real rescue rangers pops to keep Monty company i'll be highly disappointed.

I wonder if the pre CGI surgery Dale, and normal Chip will look. I mean the Dale from the trailer would be a normal Pop but will the pre be cell shaded like some of those Star Wars pops that came out last year.

. I guess I'm wondering if they'll do a bunch of the characters that showed up in the trailer, like older peter pan, etc. But guess it's all speculation till any announcement.

I think I generally would agree that reboots these days tend to just rehash old stuff, I guess I just like how they seem to be building a whole universe out of the Disney-verse with it.

I was wondering that too lol

. It feels like maybe they both might end up getting CGI'd by the end of the film though if I had to guess, so maybe they both will be the same, but probably too soon to know.

I'm super excited for this movie. I'm hoping Chip gets the same upgrade as Dale sometime in the movie. I could see pops coming at some point. :freddy3:

I did see the trailer. We need new pops from it. I can't wait to see the movie. I hope they do put out new pops from new movie.

I won't lie, I'll be angry to see pops from the new movie when the animated series line has been sitting with just 2 pops. I'm not a fan at all at the direction of the new movie and don't particularly want to support it as it might encourage such a lazy approach to franchises in the future.

This is true. It would be kind of sad if we get pops for the new movie, when we have very little of the original classic. I would love to see more chip and dale from original classic.

It would be cool if they did a two-pack pop where one was the CGI version and one was the old school animated version. In any case, I like the trailer and think this movie looks good. I'm a sucker for Easter eggs and cameos and this looks chocked full of them.

I agree it would be interesting to see them do do a two pack (or individuals) with the different art styles, I also feel in my bones we could see a con exclusive of the OG versions that seems like a Funko move.

The trailer peaked my interest enough to give it a try, it gave me very Rodger Rabbit vibes and I like the voice cast. If nothing else it looks like it could at least be a fun movie :happy1:

If only you all knew of the leaked plot for it it's even worse then it looks.

Regardless, they need to continue the line for the classic series. It's not like they have a whole lot of characters to make for it but they've really been stalling it. Pop Ride also would be great.

This definitely turned into a more "dislike the film" thread then I expected, haha. But for sure understand how it could make people feel like that. I'm honestly just a big fan of Rescue Rangers from my childhood, plus I like the potential world building aspects, but I agree the trailer(s) made things look a bit questionable haha

I think Chip n Dale were handled well in the Ducktales reboot. I really hope that shows gets a spin off at some point. Preferably Dark Wing Duck.

Count me in for this too!! Missed opportunity to not have that pop ride. This is why we need the OG disneybtreasures back so they could do one offs like that.

. Honestly I don't recall any gadgets from the trailer.... it looks more detective than cool action gadget movie.
