Why no Avatar (James Cameron) Pops?

Should finally see some avatar pops then, I couldn't see them not making some. Apart from the company being very limiting to license out merchandise.

Disney absolutely controls their merch rights. Prior to the 20th Century Fox acquisition, Avatar wasn’t theirs to merchandise. I would also bet that James Cameron has a say in how his films are marketed and merchandised as well. That probably explains why there really hasn’t been much merch. Also, if you think back to when the first film was released, everything was kept under wraps until it hot theaters.

I can't imagine how the Naavi would look in pop form, but im sure Funko could pull it off! Im sure Disney won't want to miss out on the merch bandwagon when those movies start coming out...plus there's plenty of Avatar merchandise at Disney world's Pandora...so im thinking the pops will come eventually.

I remember they made action figures and happy meal toys for the first movie. I can't imagine not seeing any toys and merch for this movie before December. Would love to see all sorts of POPs for the first film and this new sequel. Lot's of awesome variants to be made! Glow in the Dark, Blacklight etc.

Glow in the dark ones would be a definite, considering all the bioluminescence that’s in the movie

A Na’vi on a Banshee ride has to happen. It could even be a Disney Parks exclusive! Just as long as it’s available online too.

I’d love to see some banshee pops, kind of like the Wishables Disney released after acquiring the rights.
