Saw the trailer, and then remembered there's like 4 more movies. I have a feeling there's a 100% chance of avatar pops on the way

Trailer didn’t really give anything away, I’m a little anxious to see it, even knowing the title I still don’t know what to expect.

The marketing on the first one was pretty cryptic too. James Cameron has poured a ridiculous amount if years into this so I imagine we won’t be disappointed!

Trailer looked great! Unreal Engine 5 is an absolute beast, the graphics look amazing. I really hope we get pops from this movie.

The only thing that would throw me off with Avatar pops is the sense of scale. Avatars are what 9 feet tall? So do you make normal sized pops of them and the humans or make the avatars only in XL?

I think it would be okay. The only other thing I think is comparable are the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park and they are done in the normal size. I was just thinking of how cool Funko rides for avatar could be. A 10” tree of souls would be awesome; they can even make it a scene. The possibilities are endless!

I chuckled thinking of a pop ride tree. I just kept thinking of Ents from LOTR with an avatar riding.

Man now I’m having fond memories of Pandora at Disney. I think it’s such a generic series but I have so many great memories around it haha.

Didn't even think of that. I guess the 6" pops would suffice. Doesn't need to be too extreme. Hulk should be a few feet taller than the Avengers, but just having him slightly taller in pop form works.

I guess it’s just the proportions too. Do you make them lankier? Or just leave them in the house style. Idk, just wondering aloud.

Those are honestly good questions. I'm curious my self. Hopefully at some point we will get to find out the answer!

I don't even really enjoy Avatar all that much but if Funko releases an oversized Na'vi pop or an oversized mech pop... yeah, I'll be buying those.

I didn’t expect to like Pandora at WDW nearly as much as I did! Especially at night.

Hey man! Good to see you. Pandora was really cool. Honestly as a huge Star Wars fan I found it just as enjoyable which is saying a lot. Went last July, the nice ac didn’t hurt! It was so cold in the caves haha.

It does seem a little strange that they never made them, but I imagine soon there will be more than anyone could want. Considering it is Disney property.

Should finally see some avatar pops then, I couldn't see them not making some. Apart from the company being very limiting to license out merchandise.
Does Disney not control their merch rights?
I’m a novice about all of this.

Disney absolutely controls their merch rights. Prior to the 20th Century Fox acquisition, Avatar wasn’t theirs to merchandise. I would also bet that James Cameron has a say in how his films are marketed and merchandised as well. That probably explains why there really hasn’t been much merch. Also, if you think back to when the first film was released, everything was kept under wraps until it hot theaters.
