Wasn't sure if they would use a hotel conference room like they do with Fundays or if they would rent a "spooky" location like they did when they had the first one in San Diego and they rented out an old mansion. The only problem with that location was it was kind of cramped and really hot for the number of attendees.

For those trying to go to nycc from out of town make sure you check hotels in jersey they are usually cheaper and it’s easy to commute to nycc

You could always try and book refundable airfare. Reserving a hotel is easy as you don't get charged until check in and most hotels will let you cancel your reservation almost until the day of. If you have credit cards with redeemable points for travel there is some flexibility as well.
