I wasn't able to get tickets this year, but I agree, the Freddys in the BoF were outstanding. I was able to buy 1 in the general sale but will try to get my family to help me next year because it was expensive buying on the secondary market.

I don't see how the lack of variety this year made it any less fun. And they bombarded us with extra pops and swag this year. A macho man and quadrant freddy and mike and brian sodas and two other pops? And more attendees next year might make it "different" but I don't see that as a direct connection to being a worse event or empty husk or people regretting that more people can be part of it.

I would prefer to keep edition sizes small and just make more different kinds. But the event for many of us is a shared experience primary and the extra stuff is fantastic but secondary. Heck a lot of us really enjoy hanging out in the line a lot given we all don't see each other much or at all the rest of the year.

My bambi pop got damaged between the convention and hotel room, next time I will put in pop protectors before I leave the con. For Fundays mine were okay, but see the benefit of putting those loose pops in protectors, the box I feel does protect the pops in the BoF

The reason 2018 and 2019 didn't have upc codes or box numbers was because they didn't have team mascots. With the introduction of the team mascot in 2021 they need a way to identify each box so you got the right team. It also makes the distribution of lower piece counts easier so you don't end up with a stacked box of all low piece count and one with all high piece count.

Oh the Tron is definitely a sleeper. I think by next years box of fun it should drop in price another 100 dollars or so. That’s when I’ll purchase it.

Every time I see this topic on the first page, it reminds me I never got mine in the mail. The roller coaster of actually securing one and the disappointment of not getting it are both crazy highs and lows. On to 2023!!
