I do have a couple protos that, of course, are out of box. And my Sodas are out of can, but I think it's just easier to stack the boxes and keep those pristine than open all the boxes and build so many shelves-

Dude, even my protos get a box lol

I've seen some in-box protos, but I"m unsure how to display them in box :-k :-k :-k
Any suggestions?

If the pop itself is not expensive I get an extra one and use the box and insert. If the pop is too expensive to separate from it's box then I just use a hard stack with a custom insert for sodas so the proto can stand right in the center

I’ll do both because sometimes the pop needs to be taken out to enjoy. Sometimes I’ll have the same pop in box and out of box. Really depends how I feel about the pop lol

Finally started taking them out of the box in recent years. Feels like so much goes into the artwork on the molds that in order to truly appreciate you need to oob to see all the details. However if it’s a con pop I’ll buy both the con and shared version and only unbox the shared one hahah

Over the years i've taken the majority of my collection out of the box because you can see so many more details. One of the biggest downsides is the dusting... :(

Always in box for me... I think the presentation of the logo of whatever the POP is from adds to the presentation

I have both in box and out of box displays. It's tough because both ways can look nice. Its just a personal preference of the pop and/or the individual collector.

My wife and I will aways at least take the pop out of box once to look at all the details. I don't feel bad about that especially since the pop boxes are not sealed in anyway

The detail on pops in the last 5 years is great. You’re missing out if you leave them in the box!

At first I was in the mindset that they needed to stay in box, but I’ve now started to take some figures out to enjoy them more! Still a little nervous about doing that with my high priced figures but for my commons I will take them out. My newest challenge is working on those high priced figures even to just bring boxes to signings instead of bringing all entire figure and risk messing up the boxes :crybaby:

Out of box all day! Obviously keep the box and use the credit card move to keep box quality perfect but the back of the molds are outstanding and must be seen!

Not that we get a ton of earthquakes in California but I find myself keeping everything in box to avoid damage to my Pops. Also, the thought of dusting my Pops does not sound great. But definitely out of box you have so many more options for display. Props to oob fans.

I do both, oob and in box. The more expensive pops usually stay in boxes, and the commons come out. That way I get the best of both worlds, I can look and I can touch lol

I agree! I love the flexibility of removing the pop out of the box for pictures. I prefer displaying them in their box.

95 percent of mine are in box. I do have a few out of box but those are mostly commons or ones that came in a damaged box.

I agree commons that aren't autographed or grails look better out of box and nice knick nacks for single shelves and book toppers. :bounce:

Mixed both in and out of box is always the best there’s so many details you’ll miss if you don’t take it out at least once lol
